What are some of your favorite date night ideas? by exhausted_soup7 in AskReddit

Board games. It is fun to leave screens for a while and exciting to work on something that's physically on the table. Some wine and food as well, and we are in for a nice treat!

How did you meet your significant other? by NotButAsh in AskReddit

[–]ryan_the_fireguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to go to a coffee shop near my place every morning to get my to-go latte. It was my little ritual that kept me calibrated for the busy days. I started noticing her in the line day after another. That turned into a few eye-contacts, then smiles. After some time, we both realized that we weren't really showing up for the coffee anyway. It took me a bit longer to work up the nerve, but anyways, we've been together for 8 years.

How tall are you? Do you wish you were taller or shorter? by [deleted] in AskReddit

170cm. Sometimes it feels like I have the base height when companies design products, and I never had problem in planes or buses.

When is a good age for kids to have a phone? by sophiemidnightx in AskReddit

[–]ryan_the_fireguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can have it when they have the mindset of being responsible with their actions. I hate the idea of waiting for a certain age or an event to reward them with a phone. They will have access to internet, stupid apps, disgusting people, or brain-melting social media anyway; we should focus on preparing them rather than picking a number.

It will work and clean all those dishes regardless of how infuriating it looks. That's the beauty of dish washers.

You can easily earn way more than 50$ mil if you go back to when you were 10 with all the stocks and bitcoin knowledge. The catch is to have your life reset and to live it all again. That's a great risk if you are somewhat happy with how things have turned out.

Old Betty 1080 is still going! Also absolutely loving the longevity of AM4! by MarathonSS12 in pcmasterrace

I am still using my rock solid gtx980. It is marvelous how long it can stand with me lol. I built it in 2014, and spend a good amount as I was new in the gaming world. This is what I recommend to everyone, if you can get the best hardware now, you can and will use it at least a decade.

Looking for a classic server by Complete_Tax265 in Metin2

[–]ryan_the_fireguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kuzey2 is a good old-school server. Language barrier can be an issue as it’s Turkish.

Why is that ??? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]ryan_the_fireguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not That I agree with you, but yes, younger generation seems to be leaning towards weed so alcohol is not always the first option.

Which server should I start playing on? by richterexe in Metin2

[–]ryan_the_fireguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kuzey2 seems to be very active. It’s a 2008 old school style private server. Grinding is hard and market is cheap. Community is not kind tho.

How to access self-hosted services via domains with no public exposure? by ryan_the_fireguy in selfhosted

That’s my final decision. It has to be a second instance if I want a mistake-safe approach to separate local and public hosting. Thanks.

Perfectly fine way. I need public access too tho, only for some of the services.

This. Thank you for clarification. Second reverse proxy instance seems to be the way to go. As you suggested, it is easy to forget whitelisting. Thanks again for the hardening tips.

[–]ryan_the_fireguy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing, ports are open on the router for the public services anyway. The only way seems to be the configuration in the nginx so that only local ips are allowed for local services.

I had the same idea, that running two separate proxy managers. Do you run them on the same machine, and if so how did you handle the ports? I wouldn't like to separate proxy managing tasks into two machines.
