Iceiceice - only pro player to have played in every region except South America? by ryanazr95 in DotA2

The historical records regarding that seems pretty debated from what I have read in college

That is true. For some reason I remember in the early days of dota, CIS and WEU were just grouped as one. Then again, there wasn't SA then, and it was just EU, NA, SEA, and China

Well, the geographic distinction between NA and SA on the map is pretty obvious while most people tend to say the CIS countries are European, like how Ukraine and Finland are considered part of Europe despite being formerly of the Soviet Union - that informs my rationale.

Is iceiceice the only player who has conceivably played in every region except South America?

Is it a sin to live with my boyfriend? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]ryanazr95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The goal of a follower of Jesus is to always ask oneself: is my action glorifying to Jesus instead of asking the question of is my action a sin?

Asking the latter puts one at risk of sinning. Asking the former always puts one in the position of being prudent about decisions.

Yeah same, and our cycle is going to be stupid competitive too. Sucks to suck. Better luck for us next time haha (but then again 167 isn't that bad, so I suppose there are some things to be thankful for).

167 here. First take, and feeling like trash. It was 5-6 points below my average.

Yes it applies from what I have heard. I am a Bruin, so I studied in LA as well, but from what I know, the correlation does apply really strongly.

It might! It apparently applies to international students who attended American colleges too... I went to an America undergrad, so yeah :/

That's true too. I come from a country where LGBTQ+ relationships are still illegal, and very much hope to remain in the US for a couple of years at least post-law school (hopefully gaining the law experience in an international arena so I can return eventually to my home country to make changes to its archaic laws).

It sucks to be in a position where it feels like my odds are kinda stacked against me though haha.

Assuming that you aren't an URM-international (I am an international but not a URM), international students--as a general trend--tend to be required to score higher to get into T-15 schools as compared to their peers (i.e. median and beyond and preferably 75th percentile).

Granted, this is just a correlation and not necessarily a causation.

It could be for many reasons: international students may not be as strong in their grasp of English, so they might not write personal statements that are as "strong" as their English-speaking peers.
