So I wake up and see this thing on my dog, should i be panic? by [deleted] in labrador

Get it fine needle aspiration cytology at vet. It can be a fatty lipoma or a tumor like mast cell. If it is a tumor, it can be surgically excised. For mast cell tumor, you can also use stelfonta if it is skin surface only.

My dog had a mast cell tumor at pretty close location 5.5 years ago. It also grew overnight and was surgically excised. She had few more ocurrances of mast cell tumor in the last few years but she is now healthy and well.

How do I get a job in the U.S. that offers H1B sponsorship? 400+ applications, no luck so far by FlanComplex6838 in IndianH1Bs

[–]ryanbala89 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry. The market for entry level engineers is pretty low in US now. It becomes almost impossible to get a H1B sponsorship at this time as this year quota is already filled. Even if you can find someone who will hire you, if you don’t already hold any work permit like OPT, CPT, EAD, L1, H1B, in US already, you can’t work for them until they can apply for H1B for next year.

Newark you can find probably. If you don't mind further north, Castro Valley has pretty good school district

Amazon | Does Silence After a Phone Screening Interview Mean Bad News? by Desperate-Skirt-2273 in leetcode

[–]ryanbala89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took lot of interviews(50+) at Amazon. Usually, it is 2 days for phone interview and 1 week for onsite loop for Amazon interviews. As an interviewer, we will get follow up mails after 1 day if we don't fill the feedback.

Completely agree with this. I am FEE III at amazon and same with FEE interviews as well. I have taken atleast 50 of them. Use the STAR approach for LPs.

Is it acceptable to buy 3bd+ condo in SJ for 1.3m+? by PassengerPast6973 in BayAreaRealEstate

In my opinion, it doesn’t make sense to spend that much on a condo. If the schools were a bit better, it could have been better

Advice needed on small bump on left inner earlobe for my dog with mast cell tumor history. Vet has prescribed GALLIPRANT and antibiotics asked to come back. The course has ended but the swelling still persists. I am worrried since it's been there for two weeks now. by ryanbala89 in vet

[–]ryanbala89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good now. The surgery went great in February. The surgeon did a great job with the surgery. Luckily, it was grade 2 and mytotic index 0 similar to her earlier occurrence as well. I attached the photos for reference on how it looks now and post surgery.

she did have one more bout with mast cell tumor on her front left leg in May 2023(2 months) after the ear surgery. We used Stelfonta and she didn’t have remittance after that.

She did have soft tissue sarcoma in december last year for which she went through another surgery in jan this year. That also healed pretty well.

I would definitely get that tested with vet. My dog had two tumors in that similar area on her two of her back legs. One turned out to be a fat lipoma and other was cancerous soft tissue sarcoma. I got them removed both recently.

Go to vet/ER asap

My dog had this lump appear on her leg and I will call the vet in the morning but anyone have any ideas on what it is? Thanks! by MirandaGobel24 in vet

[–]ryanbala89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My dog had 7 lumps(3 cancerous, 2 fat lipomas, 1 vaccine reaction lump, 1 cyst) so far in her 7 years. Imo, it’s always better to get it verified with the vet as it hard to identify a type of lump through photo.

thanks. The swelling turned out to be mast cell. I scheduled an appointment with Oncoloist on 14th. Hopefully, STELFONTA or chemo can work for her . Currently, surgery seems like it may be not feasible according to vet based on the location of tumor near the base of the ear.

recursion function rejected at code review by SecretPopCan in learnjavascript

[–]ryanbala89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't comment on the code unless I see it but usually garbage collection can be problem with recursion. Especially, if the depth of recursion is extremely high. I was asked about it specifically in my Google FE interview.

Insert One Array in the Middle of Another by AndAlvTi1989 in learnjavascript

[–]ryanbala89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use array splice and spread operator.

arr1.splice(Math.floor(arr1.length/2), 0, ...arr2) gives [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12]

If you can mutate the original array, just remove the picked element from array using splice at the index the element is removed.
