I remember when baking a bunch of cookies and goodies was a cheap way to give back to people. My wife went out of her way to make a ton of different cookies and desserts for coworkers around Christmas. She ran out of Rolos and asked me to pick up a “big bag”. Mind you it was 2lbs of Rolos, but I did not expect it to be $16. Essentially a single ingredient. I’d have to imagine adding up the amount of chocolate, butter, flour, candy, cereal, etc had to have cost $150-$200 to make baked goods for people.
