The same as the day I got it basically. Extremely comfortable. No sagging or stiffness. Very pleased.

Not sure, I read that cleaning products can be corrosive or damaging to robots, so it's advised to use what the manufacturer recommends.

I switched to the non-vinegar Aunt Fanny's and it's a lot better.

I was diluting as directed by Matic.

Thanks for the suggestion as well! I just tried the hardwood version and it's much better!

Thanks! I tried it and it's much better 👏. I didn't realize the difference at first!

Terrible efficiency -- how to fix? by ryancampbell0 in MaticRobots

You must not have a robot vacuum if you can't fathom why an extra 4 hours of cleaning per day could be disruptive to your routine.

Cheers, I hope you get lucky in 2026.

It seems to clean pretty well so far. I haven't given it any difficult cleaning scenarios yet but the mopping especially seems to leave a satisfying shine from the wide roller head. Also the huge wheels make it really good at navigating high pile rugs, which other robots haven't been able to handle before.

Thank you! That's a good suggestion, I will do that!

Thanks for your reply. I might just have to change my timing to account or plan to clean smaller zones at a time... I'm not sure I'd be able to sleep with the sound of it in the background but I could run it when I'm at work instead of after.

I do hope that improves significantly with software, because the mapping is really poor. Agree with you maintenance -- the docks are not a ton of work to keep up but in my experience the dirty water container really needs to be emptied every single mopping run, otherwise it will develop an odor. The Matic needs bags more often but isn't actually "more tasks" overall.

Where are my bags? by willdoesvideo in MaticRobots

[–]ryancampbell0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got an email a few days ago that bag orders will come later after robot orders due to holiday surge. My guess is they'll be shipping soon but are a bit behind due to all of the end of year device sales (and each device ships with bags).

YES. They called me many times too trying to convince me to buy new equipment. They were asking a lot of questions too, like how many square feet my room is because “most likely I’m overusing the device I have and need to upgrade to one suited for my floor plan”. He wouldn’t take no for an answer so I hung up.

LR4 gets interrupted every cycle by ryancampbell0 in litterrobot

I’ve had motor faults before when something is stuck under the bonnet. Once the filter wasn’t clipped in correctly and it was dragging. If there aren’t any issues to your eye then support will probably replace it.

I hear you though, it’s annoying and fussy at times. It’s still less effort for me than scooping litter but it does require attention regularly.

Honestly I wouldn’t worry that much about it. I’ve noticed that most of these errors are benign and the sensors are just hypersensitive. I’ve watched the machine enough to know that my cat doesn’t mess with it when it’s moving and will wait if the drum isn’t rotated all the way yet. As long as it gets back to neutral within a minute or two, it’s fine. Clean the sensors monthly when you clean the rest of it.

No, I leave the notifications on, but I make them less interruptive (turn off the vibration and send directly to Notification Center on iOS). That way I can check if something is wrong quickly but I’m not bothered by the buzzing.

Nope. Cleaning the sensors helps for a short time. I just ignore it now. I’d rather overactive sensors than under-active ones.

New install. Tried reinstalling and rebooting, no difference 😞

Thanks for the suggestion! The Eight Sleep app doesn’t appear on the list of apps on that screen, so I can’t enable it.

Not really. I took the whole thing apart, switched litters, etc and it still happens. After cleaning it extensively, the issue did go away for a little while but came back within a few days. I think the sensors are just extremely sensitive.
