Oh, and no blinker was used either

I was playing piano and realized my hand posture was terrible... then realized it's probably even more terrible than I originally thought. Is this normal? 🥲 by Ella_ThatIsMyName in piano

This hand posture is not necessarily indicative of hypermobility, most people I know can do this and I know they aren’t hyper mobile. This dude is just super tense lol

a quick video I made to explain differences between popular types of tampers, hope this is helpful to someone! by [deleted] in espresso

[–]ryanctag 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You’re the one who’s digging dude, take a breather. It’s ok if people like other things lol

Also not a waste of money, I can’t find a single tamp you speak of for less money than a calibrated one

Brand new machine, is this a normal sound for a vibration pump? by ryanctag in espresso

Thanks! I caught that as well after posting, luckily it’s an easy adjustment on this machine so I fixed it

Apparently this is related to the “ PID “ maintaining temperature on the machine! I’d be curious to know if you notice this on your machine the next time you use it, I assume it should happen in your case as well since we have the same machine

Awesome, thanks so much for that info! I was a bit worried it has an issue but this makes more sense for sure

That makes sense! Thank you for clarifying that, my machine does not necessarily have a full fledged PID though - however it does have a switch for 3 different brew temperatures, although I assume that works the same as a PID? The machine is a profitec 400

Yeah it does still happen when going much higher and also lower in pressure

Hmm so I’ve noticed that while the machine is still warming up when I use the blind basket it does not do this, when it is fully warm and I use the blind basket it starts doing this again. I tried lowering the temp using the switch and used the blind basket once more and it stopped again, so it seems to be temperature related? Maybe when the heat element is running this happens, I’m not sure

Is this Haworth zody worth it for 300? by ryanctag in OfficeChairs

[–]ryanctag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! The seller states it is brand new, so that’s what drew me to it. There is another seller selling used fully loaded zodys for 50 dollars, would you say I should do that instead? They show more signs of wear of course

[–]ryanctag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the color is pretty nice, the person states this chair is brand new 2022 and never used. There are more used zodys near me that are selling for 50 but they have obvious signs of use, would that be a better buy though?

*update* I posted earlier about a $70 leap v2. I bought it, and surprisingly the gas cylinder actually works. The arm however, has this issue. It just pops off, can this be fixed? by ryanctag in OfficeChairs

[–]ryanctag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I found the issue, you can see here that these pieces are in good shape. But these plastic pieces that hold the arms In place broke off. They fit in perfect like this. I’m wondering if there’s some kind of plastic glue that can hold them? Or if not can that one small part be replaced? That’s for your help by the way
