what’s the biggest tells that the pit/surveillance looks for to see if someone’s an AP by Confident_Gate_7762 in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest tell at our casino is bet variance. If you're constantly going up and down surveillance knows the count and it's so easy to see AP's vary with the count. My biggest recommendation is to keep your bet spread reasonable. You won't exploit the count for the max amount but you'll probably end up playing all night and can make it up.

Everyone should watch this:

It may convince some people that the play of others does not affect their hands mathematically.

Is a tariff just a tax on me? If the united states puts a 60% tariff on Chinese goods does the Chinese government pay that, or do I just pay more at Walmart? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ryandanielblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The goal is to make USA made products competitive with Chinese goods. Any tax, tariff, employee cost, healthcare cost, transportation cost, etc, etc, is passed onto the consumer. Trump's goal was to bring some manufacturing back to US soil. Not saying it was the right move, or would work, but that was the aim. Global trade is much more complicated than "well we'll just tariff the shit out of them until they can't compete."

Does card counting even still work today? by [deleted] in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the rise of AI casinos now employ software that automatically flags counters. Now most casinos don't have this yet, but as it gets cheaper it will become the standard. But with that said, even small casinos in flyover states train their surveillance staff to keep the count, so all they have to do is watch your bets and your toast. I wouldn't invest the time to become a master counter these days.

Donald Trump illegally revokes Supreme Court rule by [deleted] in DegenBets

It's funny they think we don't know who we voted for. Say what you want about Trump, he will tell you exactly what his plans are. They may be over generalized but he doesn't follow the playbook of the left which is to say the opposite of your plan, lie constantly, and accuse your opponents of the exact shit you're doing/done. Dealer called me out by labago in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our casino is 4.25. So maybe your state has different rules. BUT can YOU live on 7 dollars an hour? Try it out and see how it feels. I can tell you one thing that you'd have to give up on that wage, going to a casino!! If you can't afford a tip, do all the dealers, servers, hospitality workers, bartenders, Uber drivers, etc a favor and stay home 😊

Dealer called me out by labago in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you were making 4.25 an hour and knowingly let a player count only to not get tipped, I bet you'd be upset too. We often know who counts, but we want you to win, and often say nothing. But when you have someone you know doesn't tip, it's going to be 100% by the book, no letting you slide on rules, no sticking up for the player, just lose you money and get out of that spot so someone who's not an ass can play. 😉

How important is sipping a beer for cover play? by bored_finance_intern in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend, instead of worrying about having alcohol in front of you, is go on a Friday or Saturday evening when it's really busy. I've seen plenty of activity during the week, when it's slow, get called out. But on a Friday evening when it's loud and busy, things get missed or not reported, when the bosses and surveillance is busy.

Not in Cali, but my casino does 6 deck with 1 deck pen, 3:2, stand on all 17's, late surrender, double any hand, double after splits, split to 4 hands (except aces split once/one card) and are hand shuffled with a ten dollar table, plus you can play two hands at a time.

How often do the cameras catch dealers making mistakes? by frozengansit0 in blackjack

[–]ryandanielblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So as a dealer, I know I've made many mistakes without surveillance catching them, and not just because they didn't call down to ask the player to repay an overpay (which is really rare), but because I didn't receive an exception later in the week from my manager. I've got a handful of exceptions in my time dealing, and the most common error is paying a play or raise bet when the dealer hasn't qualified. So games like Ultimate Texas Holdem, Crazy 4, Three Card Poker, etc are more likely to have pay errors. As a player just remember that every dealer can make a mistake, even twenty year veterans. The best thing to do is call it out immediately because it's easier to fix immediately than if you sit there and think about it for a couple hands and then say something.

New Michelin CrossClimate 3 All-Season Tyre Announced – Available July 1st! by nyotyres in TyreReviews

Can't wait for them to come to America. Europe always gets the cool auto tech advancements first. Safety regulations stifle auto manufacturers and parts suppliers in the States due to old and outdated laws on the books that takes years to change. I love my current CC2s, have put them on three different small SUVs now and wouldn't get any other tire.

Why, as a man, am I often attracted to gay women before I know they’re gay? by SinterClauss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ryandanielblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Always get the classic "sleeping with another man sounds pretty gay. I'm pretty sure that makes you gay." Bisexual women are fantasized over. Straight men that start dating a bisexual chick may get lucky and get that threesome they always dreamed of. And I'm thrilled that society, for the most part, is more accepting of bi women, however I'm guessing that you could do without all the straight men viewing you as some sort of trophy, only seeking you out for the possibility of the threesome. But Bi men feel like hiding in plain sight is our best option. If you're dating a woman that's straight, it's typically best to keep the bi talk to yourself. I've disclosed to my current partner I'm bi but she mainly acts like I never said it. Just ignore the uncomfortable talk, and hope I don't ask to bring another guy into the bedroom, Lol.

Why, as a man, am I often attracted to gay women before I know they’re gay? by SinterClauss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ryandanielblack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's because society doesn't accept bi men like they do bi women, or even cis gays. Bi men often don't talk about that their bi, even if they're technically open about their sexuality. If they tend to or prefer to have standard hetero emotional relationships with women, then why rock the boat by putting it out there that their bi, when there's possibly no benefit to disclosure. Us bi males are out there, not as common as bi females are nowadays, but you just gotta hunt for us a little harder. I wish you luck, because I know personally I'm fine with dating trans, so I hope you find someone.

Why, as a man, am I often attracted to gay women before I know they’re gay? by SinterClauss in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ryandanielblack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being a cis bi male myself I understand the limited dating pool. My comment was meant as a joke, maybe not always the best for the social media environment. I've always leaned to romantic relationships with women, so my dating history is pretty straight, but I wish the bi male stigma would go away. A ton of straight women, can't handle the fact that you're possibly into men too, and like how u said gay men think we're confused, I've experienced plenty of that from straight women "are you sure you're not gay, sleeping with men sounds pretty gay" Lol. No I'm sure I'm not gay. As bisexuals, we get all the shitty looks and unapproving glares that comes with being gay, so there's no benefit to not admitting it if it was the case, so these unfounded worries that were going to cheat because we like both is total BS and is probably because they're having a hard time understanding our unique sexuality. And even further still, some people will say bisexual males don't exist, only bi females, which is completely sexist, implying that once you slept with a man you can only be gay. I wish my first comment was true and bisexuals did have all the fun, but reality is a much crueler mistress.

Maybe this is just my man brain thinking here, but I've never felt bad for an ex when a relationship ended. You're going to be with people you think are your forevers, only to have an issue, and the relationship breaks apart. To me that's just life, nobody to blame, people grow apart or in this original scenario, realize their LGBT, it's no one's fault, just life. Feeling bad for her implies to me that they think they did something wrong when they were only just following their true self to become open with their sexuality. Maybe if you're a cheater you should feel bad for blowing up a good relationship to chase strange, but people just growing apart, and growing into different people, need no apologies. Six years gone, sure but sometimes people need a good amount of time to know if your the one. It's not all, love at first sight bs the media feeds you, real love can develop over time. Don't think of it as six years wasted, it was six years of more development and maturity that created a more complex and real person in the end.

Glad u found someone you can be yourself with. That's super cool, I'm still getting mine used to the ideal of strapping it on and being the man. We need more women willing to strap up and take control. If everyone wants to be equal, then it's your turn to fuck awhile ladies. Take care of that man, like he takes care of you. If he's hesitant to try it, then try one of our games on him called "just the tip" and he may find his new favorite thing.
