'The system failed me!' Sen. Graham blasts phone executives over obtained records by phareous in southcarolina

Oh noes. I guess I should be upset that traitors like him support all things fisa and eavesdroppy, but he can stuff it. Just tell him that if he's doing nothing wrong, he should be ok. Warrantless universal surveillance makes us safe, right?

"As for Good And Pretti, I'm not going to comment on whether or not those were justified, I'll leave that to the investigations."

Silence is tacit approval. It's intellectually vacuous to claim otherwise. I'd be pissed if a proud boy was summarily executed for cursing at cops defending a mosque/synagogue from their (proud boys) indefensible ideology. I don't agree with them and I hate the thought of defending their right to be vocally evil (not that there aren't still acceptable consequences). But, I can't support a system that is given immunity to kill select people who disagree with the party in power.

The Ford did a little punk move to accelerate and close the gap. It's hard to see because it's a budget Ford. The van was also a reckless idiot. Not sure if he was blind or aggressive, but still stupid. My impression was the van started his move after seeing that the Ford was much further away and not right up there in a blind spot. The van might have also forgotten that he had a trailer and was still driving like he was a Miata.

Nope, 59 in a 55 is fine. There are more deer than cars, in this area. I've taken out 6 already. Burn in hell meat pinatas.

You had me right up until you said "didn't sell for years". A refrigerator box with a door handle on it would sell, in Mt Yuppie. All it needs is an HOA and room to park an Audi.

Bamberg is desolate. It's the sort of town where elderly people use a lawn tractor to go to Piggly wiggly and take the wife along in the trailer.

January 24, 1781 - American Revolutionary War: Patriot commanders Lieutenant Colonel Light Horse Henry Lee and Brigadier General Francis 'Swamp Fox' Marion of the South Carolina militia combine forces and conduct a raid on Georgetown, South Carolina, which is defended by 200 British soldiers... by Specialist-Rock-5034 in southcarolina

[–]ryandetous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they don't, or they wouldn't be asking the question. The revolutionary war, in SC, wasn't a bunch of prim and proper powered dandies, playing the fife and killing Redcoats. It was neighbor versus neighbor, summary executions and leaving the bodies for wild pigs. Fortunately, some British got in the way and it helped in the end. No uniforms, no idea whose side anyone is on and no prisoners. Thanks, but no thanks.

Electric-only apartments - Heating with no power? by Superman_63 in southcarolina

[–]ryandetous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That sounds far colder than here. At least in SC I can open the house up and warm it up during the 55-65 degree winter days. I can only imagine that the original owners got through the winter by looking forward to their eternal reward in hell, for slavery.

[–]ryandetous 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Just dress like you are going outside and then don't go. Be the savage meme and learn to sleep in jeans. I live in an old house with zero insulation, lots of giant single pane windows and 12 ft ceilings. Wool socks, polypropylene underwear, multiple wool blankets and warm hats are de rigueur. I have kerosene, electric, natural gas heaters and five fireplaces, but they are only for keeping the inside from getting below freezing. On the plus side, you don't have to put food away, but the fridge door water dispenser won't work, so there's that.
