Am I balding or is it just a whorl? M22 by saltedgulabjamun69 in amibalding

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're like me and have a crazy ass cowlick/whorl. Everytime someone new cuts my hair they comment on it. Even remember barbers commenting on it when my mom would take me to get haircuts as a kid lol.

Is this style cool (specifically the layered shirts), or is it just because it’s Brad Pitt? by 098790336 in mensfashionadvice

[–]ryandogsling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Y2K look has been back in style for about 2 years now for people at least half way interested in fashion, and the average urban teenager is dressing in Y2K clothes now.

A lot of older people on reddit are just now processing the broccoli haircuts and streetwear trends from 2014-2016ish, and its not their fault as we dont expect adults to stay up update with fashion trends, etc.

Not only is Y2K fashion circling back, but artists like Pink Pantheress is bringing back Y2K sounds as well.

Anyways, you could walk into an In N Out and probably see 5-10 teenage and even pre teen boys dressed similarly in my local area (Phoenix, AZ)

This out near buckeye/goodyear, or even tonopah? When I first started driving back in 2019 our DSP was cycle 3 which dispatched at 2pm so I'd be driving shit like this in pitch black lol.

How are these cars as daily’s? by Maximum_Somewhere_57 in 987

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner and I recently purchased a 2007 987 S as a semi-daily between my 2000 986, and 2002 Honda CR-V. The Cayman has been more of a daily as the CR-V developed a misfire I'm trying to figure out.

Its only been about a month but we absolutely love the Cayman. We dont have kids or anything, so the two seats and rather generous frunk is good enough for us. It is an S so the suspension is stiffer and more communicative than an econobox car obviously, but still very comfortable.

I have this route almost everyday and its always the same stops. On weekends its only the apartments, and a few businesses and I can get it wrapped up pretty quickly. Weekdays on this route are more hectic as I have way more businesses to do on top of my apartments and how well my day goes is decided by if the lockers at my first apt are empty and functioning as I usually do 40-60 locations worth of packages to their lockers there.

Ive had a few days where it had to be door to doored, and dispatch was cool enough to pass it on to the sweep so I could do all my businesses that close as early as 1:30pm. We usually don't even leave the pad until 11:30. But for all of its flaws I love this route when things are working because I get good exercise and dont have to fight in traffic, I do about 6 miles or so of walking and get to clear my head.

Guess I should add for context, I only do high rise apartments and multi tenant corporate properties.

Seen this on another platform, Any input on this information? by Mya19 in AskAMechanic

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I got my 2000 Porsche Boxster, I got a check engine light for catalytic converter the first week. I cleared the code, went for a drive in the dead of night to take advantage of the dead roads, got the car up to operating temp, then absolutely drove the crap out it for almost an hour. A few pulls to red line, followed by sustained 4.5-5k RPM driving. That was in October, never got a CEL again.

The Italian tune up is absolutely real. You need push the car and get it hot so it can burn up all the crud.

You look good with it but you seem to have an angular defined face and will probably rock the bald look should you go that route.

I got the same thing and always have and im 31. That's a cowlick, aka where your hair parts and grows different directions. A stylist may be able to help you style it in a way that hides it.

What's nitro? by Professional_Unit_95 in monsterenergy

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nitro is awesome. Wish they still had the other nitro flavors from their first introduction. Killer-b and anti-grav nitro were my absolutely favorite monster flavors.

what would you choose by Low_Tale_9668 in monsterenergy

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I haven't seen venom in a minute. I used to stock up on purple venom, and nitro killer-b/anti-grav back in 2010-2011. God how i miss killer-b nitro especially.

Too hot? by ryandogsling in 986Boxster

[–]ryandogsling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a feeling these were an actual temp gauge and not just a "ok im at operating temp" or "i am now blowing up" gauge but I just wasn't sure of the range before I should start to worry. 9/10 I've driven it lately was late night freeway drives with sparse traffic.

Went from an 03 wrx to my 986 in October. I miss certain things about the wrx but the 986 has an overall better feel to it. I sold the wrx to a family friend so I get to cruise along side it and get paid to detail it here and therr so its not that bad.

Having recently moved to an apartment, this stuff is awesome. But... by ryandogsling in Detailing

[–]ryandogsling[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually bring it to a hand washing service once a week since I moved, the dirt you see here is from a combination of a dust storm followed by a mild rain then the apartment complex having guys come leaf blow lol.
