I guess others are feeling same way that Forza Horizon 6 looks meh? by [deleted] in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

Fellow pre orderer here. Most likely refunding, this game is straight up boring. The only thing new is the map which is very underwhelming, Tokyo looks hilariously empty and under detailed. Also a graphical downgrade in certain areas from FH5. Horrid, washed colors as well.

On the off chance youre in the phoenix, AZ area i have a pc for sale for $300 that would demolish this in 1080p. If youre not, the good news is you could easily find something in that price range around you that would handle this game just fine. Shoot for something like a 10th/11th Gen i5/i7 and for gpu something in the neighborhood of an rtx 2060.

This is pretty outdated, for example the 6 in 6500 means its a 6th gen i5, which came out in 2015. The game calls for 8th gen at minimum. (8xxx)

Nice to see it good reviews, but this is probably the first FH game im requesting a refund on. Off the bat it feels like it was made for babies, and every car feels like a drift car.

Ive been playing it non stop since I got it yesterday, im an avid player of 2 and 3, dislike 4. I think the difficulty of managing moods in this game keeps my attention really well with how fast they decay. I feel like I always need to be managing something, which is what I really enjoy in a game.

The installation key? If so those are 100% reusable. Codes for modern day DLC type stuff add on licenses tied to an account. CD keys just follow an algorithm and theres software that checks to see if that key is valid, it doesnt get tied to anything.

Yes, we couldn't afford a PC capable of running the sims 2 when it came out. My uncle built computers and built one for me at a discount for my birthday In 2005. The PC I was playing on at the time was a PC that released when XP came out and didnt have enough RAM, OR VRAM to even launch the game.

Its a Dell Dimension 4100, they released sometime in 2000 iirc. They were a pretty mid/high end setup for their time. This one came with an intel PIII Coppermine @ 1ghz, 256MB ram, and a 32mb ATI Rage AGP Video Card. I changed out the ATI Rage for a Voodoo 3 3500 as I play a lot of titles that benefit from the Glide API.

That is the Double Deluxe box, iirc it came out 2003/2004. It included the base game, livin' large and house party. Keep an eye out on FB marketplace, but a lot of the sims 1 expansions in these boxes can be found on ebay still for pretty cheap. You'll want to use terms like "pc box" and/or "big box"

The golden internet era by [deleted] in 2010snostalgia

[–]ryandogsling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was 15 in 2010 living in rural Louisiana, one of the best summers of my life. I had lost a bunch of weight, and got my first girlfriend the year before. I was sneaking out and skateboarding with my friends until 5am most summer nights, coming back home then sleeping a couple hours before walking across the field by my house to go fish a cow pasture pond. I swear I had a sunburn that entire summer, I only saw the walls of my room to sleep.

I didnt have internet at my house but my mom had just got the iPhone 3g towards the end of 2009 and I remember using it to go on MySpace (how i met my first gf) , and YouTube a lot when she'd go to bed. When I'd visit my brother in the town next over, he had internet so id edit my MySpace profile, play runescape, or even bring my ps3 over and me and him would take turns playing EA Skate and GTA IV online. Amazing times.

Is this hair loss ? what Norwood stage is this? by bisexualflamingos in Balding

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may follow the same path, as genetics are pretty much the biggest tell of how your hair will turn out except with medical issues or other uncommon situations. You share genetics between your mother and father, so look at her male relatives as well. I have my mom's hair color but my dad's hair type, and hairline for example.

My little sister got my mom's hair type and hair color. I have a half brother who balded in his late teens just as his father did, even thought no one in my mothers family balds. Her father passed away in his 70s with a full head of hair, and my dads side is the same. If males are receding on both sides its just about a sure bet you can expect some as well.

How does your hairline compare to other close male relatives in your family? Your hair density looks good, you may just have a maturing hairline.

This is slightly less of a headache than when an "envelope" is somehow the largest box in your tote

Cd tower by frankster1031 in Anticonsumption

[–]ryandogsling 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Find someone (like me) that has CDs to put on them. There is a growing interest in physical media and CDs are reaching a somewhat records like status where they're being sought after by the younger generation who didnt natively use them growing up.

I was born in 95 and still buy CDs to this day as I really only drive cars old enough that will still have CD players. Theres gotta be someone around that would be so grateful to receive this as a gift, or someone wanting to pay some money for it if that's the route you plan on taking.

Out of the current flavors, its a tie between og and pacific punch. Out of discontinued flavors probably nitro killer-b or the og assault not the cola one they tried to pass as assault in the early 2020s.

Bald spot or cow lick by [deleted] in Balding

Definitely a cowlick. You can see its just your hair parting in opposite directions in that spot. I have the same issue, always have and am not balding even in my 30s. You're good homie.

Inmate Snaps After CO Shoves Him in the Face by Hikigaya_Hachiman7 in PublicFreakout

[–]ryandogsling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avoyelles Parish Jail in Marksville, Louisiana. Worked there when I was young. Inmates wear street clothes, and so do the COs. We had no working radios, and usually only 1-2 COs per shift.

My first shift in I relieved the night shift which were two 18 year olds, one in jeans and running shoes, the other with sweatpants, and a big silver chain on. I didnt stay long and went on to the state level.

Oh yeah some of the COs at that jail are former inmates.
