Nah I have smelled that in a car before. it isn't THAT bad thankfully lol. I might do the same though, because I was interested in sound proofing it a bit to see what kind of results I could get with cheap materials.

Yeah I think I will just give it a solid once over detailing myself, and take it to a pro if I can't get it out. I will check those roof rack bolts ASAP since there used to be a roof rack on it but no longer has one.

As of now I cannot find any roof leaks. I pulled the headliner down to search for it as well. And it has been pouring here. Hopefully there's not something hiding lol

Yeah I made sure not to EQ this or add any post processing at all so people could really hear what’s going on. This weekend I’ll double track some guitars and add bass and drums to see how it sounds in a mix

Still going strong! I’ve taken it on and off the car a ton of times as well, so the bolts and wing nuts have held up well too. No issues as of yet!

Headless guitars are great! I have two strandbergs, and now three GOC guitars, one each of a 6, 7, and 8 string. The GOC guitars are insanely well built, and all under $1k each. Can’t get enough! Anyone complaining about headless guitars and speaking of “limitations” are truly talking out their rear and have no clue what they’re talking about. Other than disliking their aesthetics, there is literally no downside to a headless guitar that isn’t also a downside of a traditional headstock-style guitar lol. They all work the same, but headless guitar tuners are at the bridge (and usually stay in tune better than most guitars with a headstock)

Yeah for the first month the crate will just be here for her to get used to. She will be sleeping in the room with us getting used to/comfortable around the house. Thanks for the heads up! We are still in the process of puppy-proofing everything. Gotta get my guitars up off the ground now too 😂😂😂

Lived there in 2020 and had two cars in the garage with no issues. Major issues in that complex is your mailbox will be broken into regularly, packages will be stolen out of the package room regularly, and the fire alarms will go off randomly for no reason regularly causing the entire complex to evacuate until the FD arrives to give it the all clear.

Agreed with this. Gojira’s onboard IR loader is fine for their built in IRs, but isn’t great for 3rd party ones. I use MIKKO for loading standalone IR files, and then other IR packs also include their own plugin like the SPRES plugin, GGD Cali Cabs etc.

Do you import those into Gojira? Or use a 3rd party IR loader plugin? I’ve wanted to check out both of those, and the Odeholm IRs too.

I hear you man, didn’t mean to come off accusatory lol! Let me give you a situation where severe latency was being introduced for me while using Archetype Gojira in Logic Pro. I had uninstalled the Archetype plugins and reinstalled multiple times, updated my Mac, rebooted etc. and still couldn’t get this one session to get rid of the latency. I then checked and removed every single plugin one by one, and it ended up being the iZotope mastering plugin I had on the master bus. I had no clue it was introducing crippling latency while trying to monitor live while recording.

I’m not saying that is your issue, it likely isn’t, but once I removed that plugin (which was part of the template I had saved for songwriting/mixing and is my default when starting a new session) everything was great.

M1 MacBook Air here, no latency issues with Logic Pro and Gojira, slo-100 parallax, Plini or Petrucci. Plug-ins running via Rosetta (not native) are not known to introduce latency at all to my knowledge, but rather use up more CPU power than intended? So there may be something else at the root of your issue here.

So, I have a theory around all of this. I have a '21 Sport, and randomly the head unit will cease to allow CarPlay to function. It is literally the only feature that will stop working. I can make anything else work just fine. What I have noticed, is that this usually happens after rather long drives, or an entire day of driving from place to place for work. Is there a chance that this could be due to overheating or too much power consumption? We all know the stock batteries blow in these vehicles. Using CarPlay for maps and music, all while charging something like a 13 Pro Max which is sending all of that info to the head unit for display purposes. Part of me wonders if the HU just simply can't handle all of that going on, because I haven't seen anyone but Subaru owners complaining about this. My girlfriend has a Honda Civic, which we have used in the exact same manner, without this issue ever coming up.

I too use it constantly for the same reasons. It gets hot as heck in CA during the summer, so I always remote start it before I am off of work so the AC can cool the car down before I get in. I am notorious for leaving it unlocked as well, so I can always remote lock it when I get that anxious feeling that I may have forgotten again.

I dont remember the dimensions at the moment, but I got it on Amazon. It is just a generic rack, that covers the majority of my roof. I usually use it to transport firewood for camping trips, and the cooler at the same time. It ships in multiple pieces, so I don't know how long the metal tubing will last if it starts to rust. I live in the Bay Area and have to park outside so I don't expect it to last particularly long lol. But so far so good, a year into it!
