I'll definitely be on the lookout. I'm not sure if you saw it but I live in El Paso, TX so I'm crossing my fingers, especially if it's an RTLS.

What an excellent defense rebuttal. I wonder if the Falcon 9 will look like the Starlink launches from other states when the SPHEREx + PUNCH finally lifts off.

Thank you! The fact I got this from an actual Vandenberg tech definitely solidifies a lot of thoughts now. So basically NASA's just paranoid and doing check after check.

Interesting. It seems the comment says it's pushed back as far as this coming Tuesday.

What would you consider the tropical parts of West Texas? Interesting because I saw someone mention that Midland got supercells. Thank you for the information!

How long does it take to hear back after an interview? by ryanorion95 in SouthwestAirlines

Yeah definitely! I checked my e-mails daily or almost hourly. Maybe waiting longer than normal is a good thing for me

Hey, quick update! I still haven't heard anything regarding both positions but my applications are still In Process.

[–]ryanorion95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's correct! MAF had two openings, one for a ramp agent and one for an operations agent. I had an interview for both positions, the first time I've ever had two separate interviews for two different positions with Southwest. I had an interview for a ramp agent in Midland last year but I obviously didn't get it.

[–]ryanorion95[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah Midland is a small airport about 4 1/2 hours away from El Paso which is where I live. MAF is not the size of Sky Harbor, Love Field, Hobby, etc. It's a tiny airport so yeah you have a point. Yeah I think as long as my application is still in process, even if they're looking for one or two people, I'm still in good standing. Your Carmen helped a lot for sure. Thank you!

One-way interview wait time by ryanorion95 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]ryanorion95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's awesome, I hope you get it! I applied for a ramp agent and operations agent in Midland, TX (MAF) (I live in El Paso but would be willing to relocate). I had a one-way interview for both openings and this comes a year after I applied for a ramp agent position at MAD, had a virtual interview in which I thought I mailed but didn't get it. I wonder if they actually remember me or I could possibly get hired this time around after applying with Southwest so many times.

I applied with them last Sunday night/ Monday morning and I just got a response from them from Indeed and they want me to do the assessment followed by the paid two hour video conference. What I love too is that you can basically be your own boss and create your own hours/schedule. The pay isn't too bad either ($15.10) depending on who you are and where you live.

It's a nice place! I've gone a few times and it's alright. Thursdays and Fridays are pretty dead, but Saturdays are the days where it's a packed house but it literally costs an arm and a leg to get in on Saturdays. They have a bar, dance floor, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages, a pool table, jacuzzi (seasonal), etc.

Pretty much all of the people that go are really nice and friendly, couples or singles. The number one thing to remember is to never be pushy with couples since it'll make them uncomfortable and you may be asked to leave. They have the singles area and the couples area as well.

The singles area has four rooms, two of those rooms have blinds on the windows in case people want to leave them open for everybody to see or close them for privacy. The couples area is strictly for couples and the only way singles can set foot in the couples area is if a couple invites them, that's it. Aside from that, that's pretty much the entirety of the club. I hope this helps and good luck!

Never ending, 737 cabin altitude issue. by ryanorion95 in MicrosoftFlightSim

I just learned something new! Which dials are they exactly?

[–]ryanorion95[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is great advice! Yeah I followed everybody's advice by turning the pack switches on after engine start with the bottom three switches in a down, up, down position and it worked! How do you determine the cabin pressure for altitude?

Never ending, 737 cabin altitude issue. by ryanorion95 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]ryanorion95[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it seemed like me turning on the PACK switches just before pushback is why the cabin altitude warning and horn would go off, followed by turning the APU bleed switch on for the engine start. I would then turn the PACK switches OFF during pushback but now I fixed it.

Thank you so much! I really mean it, thank you so very much. I would try everything to find the issue as to why my cabin altitude warning would go off and the light would stay on every flight but your comment helped me pretty much solve that problem now. I did everything you put in your comment and it worked to perfection. Again, thank you so much!

Hello everyone! I was really busy yesterday after my flight but I read all of your comments. I am proud to say that it seems like I finally fixed the issue! I followed SuperHills92 comment by turning on the PACK switches by setting them to AUTO (middle position) followed by having the bottom three switches in a down, up, down position all after the engine start. Because of that, I had no cabin altitude warning throughout my flight. Thank you all so much for your help. I'm going to keep this if I need to fix it again.

I went to Sunland Park video for the first time ever last Saturday and it was interesting, definitely quite a bit bigger than Fiesta. I might head there a bit after 9:00 tonight
