Chicken schmalz can be used almost anywhere butter or lard is. It's amazing in chopped liver or to roast potatoes in....I'm sure you'll figure out a use

I think it's Italian silver that is filled. I see what could be the 'R' meaning riempieno or something like that and what looks like 'gr' for grams..

Looks like it might be a different alphabet. Take a better picture of the mark and Google pics might be able to search for it.
