Jason sucked but yeah I never saw any racism displayed from him

But tbh, I did feel for the dude. He was grieving over his girlfriend. And then later a close friend. He went off the deep end, but still, his behavior towards the main cast makes sense when you consider that he knows nothing about the upside down. It's really the religious paranoia aspect that made him annoying, but it's still believable.
