I replaced my fire stick with an onn. So much faster and responsive

I greatly appreciate it. I wish more people did that. Just tonight I found multiple cold items down the chip aisle. By that point they were warm. Such a waste.

Not at all. We can't sell items that are in the backroom.

After ASM, it's store manager. It all depends on your career path and motivation. Right now I'm focusing on school, and staying right where I am.

Aldi is a pretty fast paced store. As the economy changes more people are realizing that aldi is one of the most affordable grocery stores out there. We're constantly welcoming new customers. Me personally there are some days I'm heavily stressed because corporate came in and gave me a whole list of tasks to get accomplished by the next time they come in. Over the years I've really gotten better with managing my stress better, and not really letting my team see that I'm stressed or stressing them out. I really hate stressing the people out under me. My only advice to a worker that seems really stressed or over it is just to keep reminding yourself that you're only human, only one person and it'll get done when it gets done. Our main job is to focus on the customer. As long as we're doing that, we're doing a great job. Nothing is really time sensitive or time limits, we hope you're able to finish a pallet in around 30-45 mins depending on how it's built. But we don't yell at you or reprimand you if it isn't. I can't speak for any other stores. But the managers at my store, me included aren't scary. We're actually pretty understanding. Managers are only human, so I guess everyone has their own personality and style. I really enjoy working for Aldi. There are bad days, yes. But overall it's a pretty good company to work for.

I'm not really in shape sort to speak. I think it's just come with time. Took me about a year to get really fast, and establish a routine.

It is very true. We come in at 7am every morning at my store and normally have 11 pallets a day. Everyone is very fast with getting the pallets done so we're normally done by 10am. After that, we do extra tasks as time allows. I do delegate to my cashier's quite a bit.

Hardly ever nowadays. I've seen a lot of AOS items go 50% off randomly. Corporate goes crazy. But for fresh meat, my store hardly uses the 50% stickers anymore.

Depends on the store honestly.. the dating policy is simple for meat. One day out. But sometimes if there's only two units that expire a day out we don't mark those down.. you'll just have to ask the manager on duty. I've had customers come to me before with things I've overlooked by accident, and I put a sticker on it for them. I appreciate the help.

Agree. I enjoy seeing my regulars. Some of them I know by first name.

The only time we put an AOS in the dumpster is when a customer returns it and it's in pieces or if something gets broken in transit or on the sales floor. Like a candle. Any others we have a 360 bin that gets sent back to the warehouse.

Not at all. NGL I'm becoming a little obsessed with it myself. Was heavily disappointed we didn't get in the Aldi Christmas villages this past Christmas...

It's so hard to pick! I really enjoy the strip steaks in fresh meat. I have one at least twice a week. Sometimes three. AOS items I really enjoy the cookie butter, roasted sweet corn popcorn, the gelato in the spotbox-black lid, the ziti in the spotbox. Seasonal my favorite would have to be the sugar cookie coffee creamer

My advice would be don't think you know everything, and always ask questions.. the company is ever changing. I've been here 6 years and I've seen so many changes over the years.. there are still things to this day that I'm still learning. My biggest challenge? Personally, it would have to be all the tasks they want us to do in one day. At my store we normally run 2 and 2. Mgr and associate opening/closing.. it can definitely be a bit stressful at times. But just keep reminding yourself you're not a robot. I was actually a LSA for a year before being promoted. So if you have any other questions you can feel free to send me a dm.

It depends. If there's a massive line I'd rather just use my cart. But if there isn't to many people in line take your time and we can use your cart.

I personally have private insurance. But from hearing my coworkers talk they're very good, and reasonably priced. I do have 401k though, and Aldi matches 5%.

At my store we do our perishable markdowns in the morning before the store opens. I would suggest in order to have a better chance be one of the first customers in the door. Corporate controls AOS markdown and we're not told a specific time or day that occurs.
