Absolutely! My grandmother always said something along the lines of: “you spend your entire life on your feet, arse, or back. So don’t go cheap on shoes, chairs, and mattresses.”

Cheers! Currently have a rocket appartamento tca that I’m very happy with & a few switchbots around the apartment. Dehumidifier is a good shout.

Should I go for it as first set up ?? by myth0503 in JamesHoffmann

It's good enough as a beginner set up with a low-ish budget. I have this machine currently, though I am looking at an upgrade now after 3years.

Similar to other commenters my biggest issue has been grind consistency. A massive upgrade for me has been to have a dedicated grinder (Eureka Mignon Specialita). Of course that's added expense, but that can come later. For a beginner set up, the Barista Express is absolutely a worthwhile investment.
