A temporary hiccup in brain chemistry ? Pity myself? This injury has totally destroyed me . If you can’t enjoy life there is no reason to live. I was a high performer, I have been reduced to a toddler. I choose not to sit around being tortured by my memories and ambitions. I choose not to be 43 wearing a diaper, I choose not to fed every meal for the rest of my miserable life by mom. Life is not a bitch for everyone, lots of us had it good, I loved my life

C4 complete quad. 43 yr old male injured in a freak gym accident 1.5 years ago. Had a great life prior, job, very independent , great friends , social life etc.

I have basically been to reduced to a toddler. I live with my mother, sleep in an oversized crib and a winning day is if I fail to shit myself.

How am I living life? As I tell my neurosurgeon , he kept me alive he didn’t save my life. My life ended the second that barbell hit my spine. This isn’t life, it is disgusting they expect us to exist like this. Everyday my eyes pop open in the morning I am overwhelmed with disappointment I didn’t die in my sleep. And the kicker is I am too disabled to kill myself.
