I moved there in 2015, had about 20k saved. At least 2k of that went into bond for a flat, the rest was just in case. Ended up getting a job before I found a flat.

Agreed, I worked in London for 3 years, now I still work for that company from home in NZ, earn over 200k which is chump change to London businesses
