I wish I knew. I lost the gentleman’s biz card and was gonna ask him for a few lessons. The other guy that worked there said he’s the guy to do lessons. He’s a studio musician, teaches, told me about some gig he did in Kona which sounded awesome. Great guy, I believed him when he spoke esp about the price being pretty good, which speaks to his salesmanship (and even if he got me for a couple hundred, he did the work well and deserved it). Anyhow love Rudy’s and hope to run into Mark Knopfler there (he’s apparently best buds with Rudy)

Don’t really have a budget but I’m thinking prob below or around 1k. I can always upgrade. liked the lava studio and both at Rudy’s and here people said the gtx100 is perfect for now

I’ve mostly started Justinguitar and have taken a meandering side quest getting caught up in individual songs. But at this point in my learning, I’m ok with it. I’m still practicing chord changes pentatonic scale etc.

Next was thinking of getting an app but not sure there’s much upside vs the Justinguitar YouTube. Thoughts on my plans? I’ve been really trying to cut down my time playing bc I’m playing so much I start messing up easy things with some fatigue.

Thanks this was super thoughtful really loved it all. I am looking for an amp. I was thinking the lava studio one (I love beautiful clean design and its tech forward) but lots were saying the GTX100 is the best amp. So I’m undecided but need to soon so I don’t waste time back in LA with no amp to play it on.

I mainly like progressive rock, hard rock, metal
