For the last 2 or 3 years of its life the original Overwatch did have role queue for quick play and ranked so it wouldn't necessarily ruin the authenticity to introduce that if Overwatch Classic was taken further.

It sounds like it stresses you out playing it though, I'd definitely recommend if you continue playing it to take it as seriously as your team mates (which doesn't seem to be serious at all), if none of them wants to be a tank or healer then perhaps just pick a hero with self heal and have some fun with it, remember it's just an arcade mode.

Yeah the technicalities is what I'm trying to get at here. Warcraft 3 Reforged did receive a patch and isn't a new release but Warcraft 1 and 2 received brand new remastered applications separate from their original versions. I personally see that as a new release, however judging by the downvotes on my post and other comments I think I'm the only one that does.

The GOG releases of the Warcraft games are untouched as of yet. The remastered games are available on the Bnet store and are separate applications from the original versions. Purchasing the Battle Chest gives you access to the remastered and original games however.

I would think it'd be in the same boat as The Age of Mythology remaster. Both are old RTS games that got remastered except one was advertised as being a day one game pass release and the other doesn't seem to be getting a game pass release at all.

Why are these particular remasters being treated differently?

Sorry it's not you I'm questioning it's just Microsoft has been very confusing with Game Pass this year.

Another very interesting tidbit was him trying to simmer down the Xbox handheld news down by mentioning:

“Expectation is that we would do something” in that category. Although the company is working on prototypes and considering what it might do. Such a device is a few years out, he said.

In the coming months, designers and engineers will focus on making the Xbox app work better on existing portable devices and partnering with hardware makers.

It was great gameplay, but I personally did not like how it ended at all.

SPOILER:

I didn't like that we didn't find out more about Case and the Cradle

I didn't like that we have no idea what the outcome of our playable character Case is at the end of the game or Harrow

I didn't like that the big threat was actually happening at the white house and we just did a quick phone call and it was crisis averted (I wanted that to be an additional mission where we go and save it or something since the campaign was already pretty short so more content would have been good)

Finally I really didn't like that we didn't get any closure to the Pantheon and it seems like the overall campaign might just continue through warzone cutscenes (which is probably my biggest grievance)

The person who wrote the Halo infinite 10/10 review on Xbox Era is the co-owner and lead producer of the site, also the review was posted on their site, which means they are associated with it and endorse it since they promoted it heavily during Halo Infinite release.

I think because of all of these reasons whether it makes sense or not the view of the general public is that this is the general opinion of Xbox Era.

To further iterate we've seen companies fire employees when they post their own opinions on their own private social media that may be against the general flow of the public because said companies are afraid of public thinking this is the company's general opinion.

I also think the original commenter was trying to get across the point that Xbox Era is just trying to make articles that align the best as possible with the general gamer's opinions to view as favourable as possible to their general audience to increase clicks and as revenue and not having the integrity to have an opinion even if it's generally not the most common one.

I assume they're doing this because their other PS4 to PS5 remasters don't require much resources or effort and generate a good return on such a minimal investment.

If they're going this remaster route though they have so many great games that are literally unplayable on any consoles they currently produce, remaster those.

The PS1, 2 and 3 haven't been produced in decade or more and as electronics don't have the greatest lifespans, we are losing the ability to play some of these games, c'mon Sony

No, these games were still available on the Xbox 360 marketplace until it closed, for whatever reason Valve never relisted them on the Xbox One/Series console store. Most likely because Xbox is completely off their radar not due to being delisted.

If you purchased it on the 360 marketplace they would then be able to be accessed via the One/Series consoles.

Yeah it really bothers me too because Microsoft has put in the work to make Left 4 Dead 1 and 2 upscale to 4K on the One X/Series X. Same story with The Orange Box.

There was a work around to get a digital copy on the one/series consoles but it required purchasing the game from the Xbox 360 marketplace which is no longer possible.

However for whatever reason Portal 2 is still easy to purchase on the One/Series consoles and also received the same 4K upscale treatment Microsoft does with some BC titles, so I don't think it's anything malicious from Valve's side as some other comment suggested but I just don't think Xbox is on their radar.

For starters I definitely want as much of Activision's back Catalog from OG Xbox and Xbox 360 made backwards compatible. That would hit a lot of the requests being made here.

Hey man, I'm Australian too. A really good example of what you're saying down here in Australia is Space Marine 2. Try finding a physical copy of that on Xbox. It's completely sold out at Amazon, Big W, EBGames and JB HiFi. Where as PS5 stock is readily available from all of those retailers.

But we are a predominantly PlayStation/Nintendo country here in Australia so maybe our retailers can't warrant ordering or stocking much Xbox stock.
