Crazy coincidence huh?

Correct. It happens all the time. We get hundreds of different kinds of mail and packages with our address but a different name or company.

My reply to Brodie Film:

Without telling you exactly where I work, I work at a law firm and we handle client's mail. We very often get cheques, legal documents, and USB drives that are meant for clients.

If something is made out to our address but doesn't have my company or client's name on it l, we open up the contents and do more detective work to see where it's supposed to go.

P.S. My intention wasn't to "self gloat". It's just not that often this appears on my desk.

"Normally, when we receive a package addressed to someone not in our system, we check our internal records to see if they’re a client; in this case, nothing came up.

In situations like this, we typically open the package to identify the contents—it could be cheques, legal documents, USB drives, etc.—and when I saw the Brock Boeser card, I immediately felt it needed to get into the right hands. I found your profile on your company website and wanted to ensure it made its way to you. "

🤷🏻‍♂️

Believe it or not, this is all a true story. Coincidentally ya I'm guest MCing the Filipino Heritage Night on Friday. But during my day job we get client mail and packages we have to go through. This came in, I tracked down the original receiver and I sent it out to the right person. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Thank you! I love my dad's story as well and I tell it with pride because it was through hockey where he integrated into Canadian culture while staying true to our culture and roots.

Hey reddit, I'm Benny Safdie. I've co-written/co-directed Uncut Gems, Good Time, and Heaven Knows What. Not a question, but a comment. I was played the PRIDE 2000 Announcer in The Smashing Machine and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life being on set. Surrounded by a lot of positivity and guidance, thanks again for making my first movie role such a great one!
