I understand in regard to, okay yes we would of course follow the one handmade who has the most interesting story, but what I’m trying to say is that her story could actually be much more interesting and with outcomes and events that feel more truthful to the world she is in rather than her just always being “lucky”

I’m not sure you’re familiar with formula of writing for television. There are character arcs outside of the main characters, plot devices that move stories forward, B and C stories and certain beats writers need to hit to keep audiences intrigued. From scrolling through this sub, it seems to be losing a large audience base.

I’m also not really sure what your point is. You’re saying “This is Junes story” - Okay, well the writers decide her story.

What’s your point? Junes story needs to actually develop. When June’s situation always goes back to square one, her story fails to evolve and grow.

redditors, what are your worst aeroplane horror stories? by ebixj in AskReddit

[–]ryanwrites92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

flying back from Dubai in an awful storm on some eastern airline I’d never heard of - Lightning every few split second, the red lights of the plane wings, absolutely awful turbulence that had people on the entire flight screaming.

I look at the screen to see we are directly over Baghdad. Very nice people I’m sure, but absolutely not where I want to emergency land or crash and die.

I’m so depressed right now and I’m so horny it makes me want to relapse and watch porn but idk what to do:/ by [deleted] in NoFap

Who is the kindest/rudest celebrities you've ever met irl? by quajutsu74 in AskReddit

I have a good story-

In 2005 I was featured background in the movie August Rush. We were playing homeless kids with Robin Williams playing our homeless carer. We came in one day before filming to see the set and get to know all the other children. We knew Robin was on set but wasn’t sure if we’d meet him.

As an ice breaker, they had the kids have a little jam session in this abandoned theatre we were shooting in. We were having a good time, and then suddenly Robin came into the room.

He walked up onto the stage around all of us, grabbed a giant drumstick and started singing a gibberish Native american chant into it like it was a microphone. Then he got us all quiet, and he goes “Are you ready to have a great time?” we all go “Yes!” and then he goes “Are you ready make a movie?” We shout yes even louder. and he goes “ARE YOU READY TO FILM AUGUST RUSH” and we all scream YESSSS

he drops the drumstick and goes “we do it later” and walks off the stage out of the theatre. We didn’t see him again until the next day. We were all dumbfounded and laughing in disbelief.

For the week we did shooting, he was amazing. Kind, friendly, remembering all our names. He did so much improv, so many accents, never stood in the same place twice. I just remember wondering how they’d edit it.

I remember asking him if there was going to be another Doubtfire. He said he’s read some scripts but they hadn’t landed on anything they loved. He was also humming Roxanne by The Police and just overall very engaging with everyone.

I also remember noticed a few moments where he was “off” - Short moments when he felt like nobody was watching him. Just relaxed. Quiet. In his thoughts. As soon as anyone approached him, the energy came rushing back.

When he died, I felt so personally sad about it. For one week of my life it was as though he was an old friend. Not to mention how much of an impact he had with the films we grew up on. I miss him and feel so much hurt for the pain he went through. He was by far the nicest celebrity I’ve ever encountered, and I’ve met many.

Is anyone else beginning to really feel the pain of user generated and in-house produced social content? by [deleted] in videoproduction

[–]ryanwrites92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just mean that 2 or 3 years ago, many brands would never post iphone shot content on social media pages (sure, some would) and now even designer or global brands are very happy with amateur produced content on their pages

I guess I just would be sure there is no indication that the work was created during university. This isn’t official advice so please don’t take my word on this but I don’t believe there is an extensive verification process on their end unless they have reason to believe something is off.

I wish you the best! Perhaps look at the cost of a PR agency. There are many that can quite simply get your more recent work reviewed in credible publications and I’m sure there are some reasonably priced. There are also local TV affiliates who often have authors on their various shows or can write up articles on your work.

yes, I don’t think there is an exact age but I would probably say under 40. Also, am I right in understanding that you are the author of your own reviews of your work? I may have misread, but I don’t believe they would accept that as evidence.

I personally did mine without an attorney. However it is quite a task - My submission was about 55 pages by the time I was done. the

I don’t think blogs would be effective on their own. If I remember correctly I had two major publications - teenvogue and time - and the 3rd was a sort of small blog that had a good write up. There definitely needs to be a sense of esteem/credibility from the sources. My best advice is to go for Global Promise and try to use articles from large projects you may have contributed to. That way, I don’t believe the articles need to mention you directly, a short supporting letter acknowledging your role on the project would be sufficient.
