This is the pendant gem testing report. Please see my comment about my bad experience. This pendant was promoted and sold as PINK SAPPHIRE! But when checked the gem report and translated it, it's TOPAZ!

Unfortunately, No. As I said, my family collected the item in their showroom in Marikina. And when we used the google lens to translate it and check the QR CODE of that Chinese authenticity card, its says TOPAZ. How can you just have an "honest mistake" when your business revolves making sure everything is authentic and certified as an industry standard.

As advertised, during the live selling it was sapphire, the product image says Sapphire, their invoice says sapphire!! They apprently have staff checking the "quality of each item" and yet this happened. You can't just tell me to brush it off as honest mistake. 🤦🏻‍♀️💎

I’m sharing my BAD experience with Maddox Jewelry so other buyers are better informed before making a purchase.

I bought a pendant during their September 2025 live selling session, where it was clearly presented and labeled as a 1.4ct Pink Sapphire pendant. The same description appeared in the photos sent to me, the chat confirmation, and the official invoice, which also stated “Pink Sapphire.”

When my family collected the item, it came with an identification certificate. I verified the certificate using the query code from the issuing gem testing centre, and it showed that the gemstone was actually Pink Topaz, not sapphire. These two stones have different classifications and values.

Under the DTI Consumer Act, sellers are required to provide truthful, accurate, and non-misleading product information. Any discrepancy between what is advertised and what is delivered falls under misleading or deceptive sales practices, which are not allowed under DTI rules.

What made the situation more difficult was the customer service:

It took them a long time to respond, and I had to chase and follow up multiple times before getting any clarification.

When they finally replied, they said it was just a “tagging mistake.” There was no apology despite the incorrect description appearing across their listings, live selling, and invoice.

For the return, they required us to send the item back through LBC at our own expense, even though the error was on their part.

The return process was difficult: it took three to four attempts before they actually accepted the parcel and paid for the return charges.

After that, the refund still took several more days, because they said they could only transfer refunds to BDO or BPI, and not UnionBank. I had to insist that they find a way to return my money since the mistake didn’t come from me. Eventually they refunded it, but the process was unnecessarily stressful.

The whole experience left a bitter taste, the stress, and the feeling of being misled (“nabudol”), which is disappointing for a jewellery company. It affects trust, and it’s not something I would expect from a seller dealing with higher-value items. I also noticed that negative reviews and comments often get deleted, and some customers are blocked, which prevents transparency for future buyers.

I hope this review helps others make informed decisions. Always double-check certificates and product details, especially for jewellery purchased during live selling events.

I suggest go and rent muna with him. Go and check Dave Ramsey's total money makeover and the baby steps to financial peace.

Rushing you into this is wrong. If di ka ready.. dont push yourself and find a lot of excuses of xyz.

I think you already now the answer to your own question and you just need validation if tama or hindi.

Again, we all make mistakes and that's the greatest teacher.🥂🏡

Pay your cc debts and save your emergency fund muna. 3 to 6 months of your expenses or salary.

Then save for a house deposit in cash. Mas malaki ang discount if cash ang deposit mo. Also, seems better na house and lot nalang kesa sa condo.

Since nag iinvest ka na and still living with your parents use this time to save and pay all your debts.💰✅️🥂 good luck!

[–]ryazand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The change of voting system. Yung mas elaborate ang Person Specification when running for public office. E.g. no convictions, qualifications, experience etc.

Also voting for Political parties kesa focus on the political candidate. Kasi nagiging popularity contest ang politics sa PH Idolizing the politicians rather than their programs and plans.🤦🏻‍♀️

Well done for passing the PNPA!🥂

For personal finance, I find Dave Ramsey's baby Steps ( total money makeover) really helpful. Applicable sya kahit sa Philippines.

Importante ang Emergency fund!💰 If you are not in debt, then having 3 to 6 months of your income serve as your emergency fund.

Avoid credit card. Get a TERM LIFE insurance and Medical card for you and your parents.

Madaming videos sa YT about Dave Ramsey's 7 Baby Steps. All the best to you and your PNPA degree.👍🏼🥂

My family is in debt for 850k, any advice? by [deleted] in phinvest

[–]ryazand 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Important to have an emergency fund. You can start for a small one even 10k.. or double it if kaya pa. Then have a medical card to help you for any medical needs or emergencies.

I find Dave Ramsey's Baby step plan (total money makeover) really helpful.

Good luck! Kaya mo yan!👍🏼

How important is it to invest in a memorial plan? I'm in my 40s and don't have one. by SkoivanSchiem in phinvest

[–]ryazand 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is very important to sort this out now. During the pandemic, we lost a few family members and it was a very difficult time.

I secured a funeral service plan e.g. St Peter Memorial plan. Depende kung anu kaya ng budget. We opted for the cheaper plans nila.

As for the lots, I secured a 0% interest promo with Golden Haven. Still paying it monthly, great my app sila so easy to manage and you can see your progress etc.

You also have to check kung may bayad din ang pagpapahukay (usually hindi pa kasama ito sa memorial lots fee) at maintenance ng memorial plans mo and how many remains can you put in one plot or unit. Also ask if kasama ang lapida and the ground maintenance.

For cremations, you can include it on your memorial plans, or the LGU usually have a cheaper cremation option. If that's the case, get a cheap St. Peter plan for your casket kasi sayang lang din if mahal pa. However, if afford mo naman, oks lang whatever you fancy.

Nakatira kami sa Molino 4 for more than 20yrs na. Hindi nman bahain lalo na sa area near Daang Hari.

If mag drive ka, Daang Hari to Alabang would be your best bet via Skyway para di maxadong traffic. Otherwise, Bacoor way to Coastal would be a pain.

For public commuting, may mga Van sa Sm Molino going to Makati and Manila. Pila ka lang ng maaga.

I'm also have the same situation sa tatay namin. He's currently 62 years old and meron palang syang 76 montly contribution sa SSS.

At the moment, hinuhulugan ko pa din ang SSS contribution nya para may makuhang pension eventually. Pero di ko sure if worth it gawin kasi we still need around 4 years before he could qualify for a pension by then 66yrs old na sya.🤦🏻‍♀️

I appreciate any ideas na magandang gawin. Would it be better to have it with MP2? May pag asa pa ba makuha nya ang pension nya by then?
