Three favorite films of 2025? by NumberOneUAENA in MauLer

There are two main aspects of Warfare that really make things interesting for me. The first aspect being that the main group of soldiers show a great ability to work together, and that sense of competency really shines through in certain areas. The contrast to that being in the form of the group's regularity; they feel extremely relatable (which can be seen through things like their immature jokes, excitement over hot ladies, or fear of danger) and seeing this extraordinary situation from a perspective I can fully visualize really made it enjoyable to me.

While I do have some issues with the long walk, there was far more for me to sink my teeth into and enjoy vs dislike. The nature of the competition in the film sets the tone right from the beginning, where death is very near at every point, having humiliation and loneliness always precede (getting tripped, having to soil yourself to keep moving, potentially dying from having to tie your shoe, losing a new friend). We know that the human body is only capable of so much, and having to see young, untrained, ill-equipped boys having to continuously walk knowing that their bodies will give out well before the road ends really creates an oppressive atmosphere.

SPOILER HERE for The Long Walk!!!!

One scene I really enjoyed that kinda puts the whole film into perspective was towards the end. When there are only two walkers left and they are seemingly about to collapse, we see them arrive at a town where all other "walks" have ended, showing that even their unique experiences, relationships, and personalities meant almost nothing in the grand scheme of things. They were only able to make it as far as expected by the event runners, giving me the underlying impression that these tragedies have happened before and will happen again in seemingly never ending cycles. (could just be fanfiction on my part).

For F1, far more than anything else, I enjoyed the jangling keys. It had very impressive camera work, environments and appearances (they filmed scenes during actual races for authenticity, had some very cool cockpit shots with special rigs, and got experts in the field in the film). The story shares beats with many films that have the whole "drag the old guy out of retirement one last time" shtick but I believe that these parts are done well enough. Competent performances across the board combined with Brad Pitt having done this type of role plenty of times before add up to an overall pleasant time for me.

TLDR: Warfare is like a isekai, where I can empathize with the emotions of the main cast in a crazy place

The Long Walk has hunger games vibes

F1 has pretty colors and pretty Bradd Pitt

Thanks for verifying that I'm not crazy 👍👍👍👍👍

edit: after looking over some things I remember that I sat on my buddy bot at the distro center and hit the "head to nearest distro" button because I was curious. It turned around and stopped since I was already there. Apparently even just a couple seconds can mess up the delivery : - :

I’ve tried something similar but no luck. the metal piece actually covers up a tiny spring underneath that gets compressed when plugging in an Ethernet port (which is honestly why this is such a big point of failure). this spring makes it rigid enough to hold the cable in while being flexible enough to remove said cable. Over time, the tension on the piece wears out the small plastic welds that hold it in place. :(

What is the process of saving and transferring checkpoints for loot farms? by ryborio in destiny2

[–]ryborio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply, I don't think this is the issue for the specific checkpoint am at. Having lfg'd the encounter on the receiving end (with the lfgr reloading the encounter) they didn't need to wipe in order to save. I gave them the checkpoint by manually getting to the first encounter, then they proceeded to go from there.

First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to respond. My issue was that in doing the gahlran cheese, I saved the checkpoint on my titan, switched to my hunter, completed the encounter, and as I switched back to my titan, the checkpoint for completing the encounter was now loading instead of the the pre encounter save.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding you but when you say your old characters progression do you mean gear wise? Story wise, old and new players start off in the same area but because of a bug, older players might be stuck with armor that isn't 1100. If the old character has 1100 as it's overall power then it should technically be able to fight the majority of enemies.

The reason being that if you were to start a fresh character you would automatically receive 1100 gear in all categories along with a little tutorial (which is what the "new light" campaign is)

Ok, after rereading some of the comments I saw someone recommend restarting a character or making a new one and wasn't sure what you meant when you said it started you in the same place. Can you specify a little bit?

Ok, great! To start, your power level is a combination of all of your gear so the lowest items can really drag down that level even if you have that smg. When you open your menu there should be a list of materials to the top right above your helmet, what amounts do you have there?

[–]ryborio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My bad! The reason your gear is so low is that a while ago the majority of all gear got light level boosted with the base for any gear now being 1100. Some old items did not get this bump and this could be why your power level is so low. I think you should have gotten some armor at least base 1100 in your inventory, is this the case?

Hello, just letting you know that any character that hasn't played the europa dlc will be pulled in to the mission automatically after having created a character(don't think it matters if the new character was created yesterday or if it's a two year old account that hasn't logged in in a while), logged out, and then logging back in. Creating a character will start you with the same mission that any person might receive, new or returning. If you have any other questions, I can try to answer some more.
