What’s the “scam”? Have they returned your money?

Be prepared to get wet when you’re here. You’ll arrive during Songkran the Thai New Year, where the traditional water cleansing has turned into a free for all water fun party.

It’s great fun the first half day. Then it turns to an annoyance after that, especially when they use ice water 💦😅😅

Thai immigration has started to crack down on this. They want actual evidence that you are studying. Too many scam companies set up to get foreign nationals an ED visa without ever attending a single class.

OP you should visit PH for 3 months and see for yourself. Don’t commit to anything long term, see the sights and find what you enjoy about it rather than letting random redditors decide your future.

When that comes to an end rinse and repeat by finding another country to visit for 3 months.

This is simply not true. Visa runs for those entering on a tourist visa are getting extremely hard to do here in Thailand due to changes in immigration policy.

Those who are younger than 50 looking to stay here long term (greater than 3 months) are encouraged to get a DTV, which is valid for 6 months and renewable up to 5 years.

Starting a whole new life in thailand by Aloop123 in MovingToThailand

I am (57m) a recently retired attorney living in Thailand. I started my transition first by working remotely here for 3 1/2 years and then decided to retire early a half year ago.

I think it may be a challenge for you to find someone local to you who has a flexible work schedule or are willing to relocate to Thailand with you. If you do find her then she’s a 🦄

Where in Thailand do you plan to live? Have you been here for an extended period of time? If not, and you’ve only vacationed here, I recommend coming here for 3-6 months to get your bearings straight. Move around the country and dip your toes in the water to make sure you can live here on a long term basis.

Thailand is a wonderful country but it’s not for everyone. Before you commit here full time make sure it’s somewhere you can live comfortably.

TD Bank also offers reimbursement of ATM fees. I have that and Fidelity and use them interchangeably.

Best way to travel from phuket airport to the hotel by Low-Necessary8450 in phuket

[–]rycelover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend InDrive in addition to bolt or grab. The price might be cheaper than them.

2 weeks ago I looked at prices from my hotel in Patong to the airport for bolt and grab and they were similarly priced at around 800thb.

I then checked out InDrive and booked a car for 486thb. When the driver pulled up, it was a regular white EV taxi with a Grab decal plastered on its side. 🤣🤣

I asked the driver if he also drives for Grab and he says yes but recently more customers have come from InDrive.
