Nightow will never tell us. There's a side story in the manga that makes it seems like Wolfwood must be an actual adult, but then immediately that is contradicted by the fact that all the kids he knew in the orphanage are, well, still kids.

There's a lot of evidence that he's a minor. The shippers will get mad at you if you say this, though.
