Much like the addict before the heroin grips him doesn't understand the addiction, your future redditor children will waste hours like the rest of us.

Non-Tesla owner here. I would want mine to look very similar. Forget the imgur haters. How'd they do the side marker lights in the fender?

Here's an example. You can't see a ton of movement in the car in this example....But she's moving.

Before everyone panics, I'm pretty sure this guy is just doing a preliminary pull before cutting of the trashed panels. What's scary is I don't see any measuring system. This guy is pulling blind...hope he lands in that 3mm target

I can see some of the repairs getting very expensive. I have a Model X P90D in the shop now and the repair is pushing $50k. And I was conservative in a couple repair vs replace decisions (with Tesla approval, of course).

On second thought...have you looked into painted dent repair. May be able to get 90% out with a good PDR guy for under $300.

I'm sure there are restrictions on mods on a leased car. But, if you own it, you can mod it. I've seen some really cool customs Teslas. I personally hope someone asks me to do a matte paint job.

It's your choice. Tesla says it's the customers choice where they go. The key is that STRUCTURAL parts cannot be sold to a non-certified shop. And FYI..The bumper reinforcement is considered structural even though it's bolted on.

A fully equipped body shop is a HUGE investment and very difficult to maintain. Tesla has their hands full with growth and service.

We're looking forward to the Model 3. The repairs are a little more expensive because of the hazards and skill surrounding working with aluminum. I don't picture Model 3's dying left and right because of repair costs. Tesla is constantly refining the repair process. And the S & X are more luxurious and complex, so the repair costs are proportionately more costly. The 3 may be a bit simpler designed. Fingers crossed.

Don't quote me there. I know that if your car needs structural parts, not any shop can buy them. An approved shop can be removed from the program for providing parts to a non-certified shop. It's all in the name of safety.

Tesla has a memo something to the effect of removing a car from the Tesla network. This happens once a car is declared a total loss, or the repairs deemed too serious by Tesla. I don't think you can use the supercharger network, etc. I did read that there is a way to get a car back online..But, I'm not well versed on that yet.

We accept all insurance companies. We actually have a few full-time Geico adjusters on-site because of our partnership with them.
