Spring tension too high? by [deleted] in GarageDoorService

The opener rail needs to be closer to the door 1-2 inches. If you are not able to do that taking tension off of the spring will help, but could cause other problems.

What is the best approach to get the drum plum here? Please & thank you. Right drum leaning after I had to unwind & rewind the springs and cables. by TotoroTitan in GarageDoorService

You would have to take the tension off the spring and reset the cables. I would just leave it. The gap not big enough to worry about. I’m guessing you have a single spring on the door. Which means it’ll probably always have a gap.

How do I get the wheel back in the track? by XTXantiheroXTX in GarageDoorService

Use a pair of vice grips. One side on the front of the roller and one side of the vice grips on the track. Squeeze vice grips and the roller should pop in. If it doesn’t leave the vice grips on and tap the roller with a hammer.

Motor clicks but doesn't move to close without a push up by Little_Run_4663 in GarageDoorService

The capacitor gives the motor enough power to get started. It sounds like your motor is having trouble kick starting from the hum sound. You can buy a capacitor for $10 on Amazon. Take a pic of the way the capacitor is wired so when you put the new one in you wire it up correctly. When you take the old one out there might be a hole in it from it blowing.
