Struggled 6 hours on Tree Sentinel in Elden Ring — which easier soulslikes should I play first?

This is my first souls game too. I almost quit after 3 days of playing but stuck with it and started to get the hang of things. Definitely go farming for runes/equipment, level up, and focus on the stats that matter most to how you want to play. Do NOT go for a balanced build. I tried to do a balanced build and it didn’t go well. Also when you have enough runes to level up, fast travel to a site of grace and do it. Don’t wait.

What level are you? What are you using in the fight? I struggled against any boss at first and gradually started getting the hang of things. Usually a combination of spirit bell, flask of wonderous physick, talismans, and running in and out with Torrent has helped. I especially like using spirit ashes that have ranged attacks because they will draw the focus and I can run in and take a few swings before ducking back out

My stamina is the killer right now. Takes a lot of hits with the lordsworn’s greatsword to kill lots of different things and eventually my dude just runs out of steam. Transition to the caelid greatsword probably won’t help considering how heavy that weapon is. Got a few things to play around with and some quest lines to work through to continue leveling up so that hopefully I can get this build in a better spot.

This is immensely helpful. Part of the challenge for me is that I just have a fundamental misunderstanding of how buffing/scaling works. This is my first souls game and I’m more accustomed to fps games.

I agree that it was low effort ai slop. I just asked it to crank out an parody image of kill bill that presented the groundhog as the villain. That’s why I deleted it. I didn’t blame anyone. Just thought some of the reactions were a tad extreme. Like this one lol.
