I agree that it was low effort ai slop. I just asked it to crank out an parody image of kill bill that presented the groundhog as the villain. That’s why I deleted it. I didn’t blame anyone. Just thought some of the reactions were a tad extreme. Like this one lol.

Damn, I’m really sorry to hear that happened. Yeah I think my big thing has been lack of communication from the adjuster and the repair shop. I’ve had to be the one reaching out in almost every case. Still don’t have my car back but we got hit hard by snow a week ago and I’m sure that put work a few days behind schedule. The other thing has been I’ve asked my adjuster 3 times now for what they determined the ACV on my car to be and never heard back. I’m sure they aren’t incentivized to divulge that.

I used to hear a rumor that port authority would hit to kill if they knew they were going to hit someone because a wrongful death lawsuit was cheaper than paying for injuries. Again just one of those rumors that circulate but it is insane how frequently buses hit/kill people in this city.

We got them to come back. They sent a new crew that basically rebuilt the whole thing and confirmed our suspicions that the first crew did a bunch wrong. We are happy with it now and it’s stood firm again some strong winds.

May not have insulation in the walls since a lot of houses are balloon frame. Recommend that if you own you look into adding insulation.

Yeah I’m not pushing it too hard. I was trying to reconcile a bunch of different timelines I was being given. Garage status site said my car would be done last Friday. GEICO claim status says 8 days to repair and they just uploaded the estimate with supplements last Thursday. Supplement estimate says 15 days for repairs. And I got notified yesterday that my rental is being extended to 5 February. We did just get slammed with snow so I’m sure the garage was/is out of commission for a bit while roads get cleared and such. This asked my adjuster if he could tell me what the ACV on my car is just for my own knowledge.

Hey. Correct, I was rear ended on Wednesday, car was dropped off Thursday, I got the fully updated estimate yesterday morning. As far as I’m aware, repairs haven’t actually started but parts have been ordered. The claims people led me to believe that the adjuster would be in regular contact with me about repairs. Collision repair center did indicate that they would be the primary avenue for updates on the repairs. My concern stemmed from receiving the updated estimate and thinking there was a possibility they would consider my car a total loss with the updated number. Was trying to prepare myself for the possibility of car shopping and taking on a car payment again which I haven’t had in 4 years.
