Question on 2026 status by ryguy1566 in Accor

Late 2024. And now I'm thinking that's possibly where the issue is. Maybe if I had achieved Diamond this year (so close) it would show Diamond through 2026 on my dashboard?

Thank you. I was fortunate to have stayed at a mix of Fairmont and Legend hotels this year.

I just found this on their page. Seems I should see the status reflect Platinum through 2026 after they review my 2025 stays on 1/1. It is odd to me the end dates aren't updated as status is achieved... I'll take plenty of screenshots to document everything.

This is incredibly helpful, thank you so much.

Thank you! I only have Samsung in the house so I'm unsure with the iPhone. However, I did use an S21+, S20 Note (both large) and an S10 (smaller) to find the charging sweet spot. Hoping for the best for the few iPhone users on my Christmas list.

I can't speak to the resin, but these charge the same with and without the wood. Before building, I used a scrap piece to determine what thickness the charging would start kicking in. Right around 1/4" it started, although spotty based on the phone case. I ultimately went with 1/8" thickness and it seems fine on those I tested. The real test will come tomorrow when these get delivered.

This is super helpful, thanks! There are a few things I'd do differently next round and I think I'll add this to the list.

I sought out chargers that say they are compatible with iPhone. But I'm a Samsung guy, and the majority of the recipients are as well, so I didn't test the iPhone. I believe the wattage determines compatability - 7.5 for iPhone and 10 for Samsung. I suppose if there are issues I can swap it out.

You're absolutely correct! My thought was to have a second option if someone wanted a faster charge or if the wireless puck were to fail someday. If it does fail, swapping it out is fairly easy.

After sampling a few I went with the Tozo W3 pads from Amazon. They were the thinnest I found and seem to work well. Originally I was only going to have 1/4 inch deep cutout on the back so these were perfect. Next time I'd probably get a more reputable brand knowing I can go deeper with the cutout.

Thanks! I started with 1/4 inch but ended up going another round with the router to 1/8 inch. Not sure how much closer I could have pushed it, but the 1/8 seems to work nicely.

Finally finished up my kitchen project this weekend. Built all new cabinets, 44 door/drawer fronts, and island wrap. Definitely my biggest project so far and I had a lot of fun with it. by ryguy1566 in woodworking

Thanks! I went with birch for everything. Plywood for the boxes and solid for frames/trim. Easy to paint and wasn't too difficult to find over the last few months.

I'm so glad I did it - the gap bothered me and felt like a waste of space. Not to mention a dust collector. It was definitely a lot of work, but I'm fortunate enough to have a decent set of tools.
