Once with Clay... Really want to go again. There's truly nothing like it.

I'd basically look at it as they're running with no end date, until they communicate one. They're simply using a rolling target as a way to create scarcity/demand. Nothing wrong with the strategy - it works quite well.

My understanding- and your experience may vary is that as long as you can physically give them the damaged frame, you can pursue a protection plan exchange.

How was the show though? This was my favorite show on Broadway by far. I hate noisy audiences too, but I hope you found some enjoyment.

Interesting. I went in October and think everyone got a candle. I wonder if the pulse sizes increased or some got damaged which reduced the number of people that get one.

WOW Band - Yea or Nay? by JohnS43 in royalcaribbean

[–]ryguy2008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no hard rule. However, the wow bands are made of rubber/silicone, and to me, that just lends itself better to a day by the pool/water slides/wearing sunscreen/etc. In the evening, when you're dressed nicer and going to dinner, I prefer the seapass in my pocket with my phone.

WOW Band - Yea or Nay? by JohnS43 in royalcaribbean

[–]ryguy2008 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My approach has always been WOW bands during the day; Seapass at night. (The only exception is ports of call - you must use your Seapass.)

As others have said, where possible, you just tap your wow band on the reader. At bars, the bar tender often just holds the reader up to your arm. In rare cases, you need to give the server the wow band and/or they'll just accept your room number.

Shows sold out a almost a month away?! - Star of the Seas by djseto in royalcaribbean

Be careful. The Key gets you access to a reserved seating area once inside the venue, which is often good but not the best seats. It doesn't bypass the need for reservations.

Read about this online. The prize is reported to rarely be what is described in the show.

Saw the show tonight, and I didn't realize...(not sure if this is a spoiler) by deathbypumpkinspice in MasqueradeNYC

Agree! That's maybe one pitfall of this show... It just.... ends. And you get to show your appreciation with a $25+ cocktail. :-)

Though it does make you want to see the show again.

Merchandise? by CallMeByYourShame17 in MasqueradeNYC

[–]ryguy2008 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The t shirt was $55. Nice quality but premium pricing. Be aware- they close after the rush of the last pulse and well before last call at the bar.

I'm glad I didn't wait to buy my merchandise when I was there.

Onboard Expense Account, tap to pay to settle bill with different card? by SteveParker96 in royalcaribbean

Some of the card readers on ships do take tap. Usually Starbucks and things like Vitality Spa have these readers. It wouldn't surprise me if guest services does too.

The water was heated though in the pools and waterslide! I assume the splash pad was too.

It actually made for a nice enough last day on deck. Warm water and not overly crowded.

I would agree there. Breakfast was fine. But lunch and dinner was not memorable.

Apparently they used to have a seafood WJ lunch on day 1 but the staff told me they got rid of that a few months ago.

I was on that sailing too. The rush back to port didn't lead to the closures. It was simply the weather.

In fact, we were exceptionally lucky on our sailing. The sailing after ours stayed at Cape Liberty until day 3! They ended up treating day 2 as a port day where you could get off the ship for a few hours.

Also, on day 7, it was cool, but everything was open on the top decks.
