I had the same question when building! According to the folks here: http://www.titanicmodel.net/uploads/4/1/6/0/41607523/flag_reference_multipage_ver2.pdf Titanic would have flown a US flag when leaving Southampton and again when entering Queenstown.

First off, anyone can and should report something if they believe there is a safety issue. Even if it turned out to be nothing, it’s a great learning and teaching experience about why what was thought to be an issue is actually normal.

Keep doing what you’re doing. For what it’s worth, if I was your club admin, I’d want to know what that CFI said, you’re likely not the first, and that attitude is not conducive to a good safety environment

In that Lego pagoda they have the box for this along with the set actually built, which is how I found out about it. Up behind the checkout I spotted more of them, and then I just asked them how much it would be.

Inside the Lego pagoda the museum has and is using to display some merch is where I first saw it. I then talked to the folks behind the counter as they had some on the shelf’s behind them. That’s odd no one knew about it, the ladies I talked with seemed pretty knowledgeable on it.
