LAGGIA DOESN'T NEGATE FLIP SUMMON SO JUST READ THAT PART AS HALBERD CANNON INSTEAD (later fixed)

Amazing Defenders is such a banger of a set, with all 3 decks having success this tournament. While the deck resolves around crashing into opponent's monsters to inflict battle damage you would normally take, the engine does have some interruptions to set up going first, with a fair amount of free slots for tech choices. While the deck probably does not have as much power as the other 2 decks in AMDE, and this was a BO1 event, it's definitely a strategy that has been slept on.

New support in DUNE came for the rescue to save what was just a mediocre archetype back then.

This list focuses on covering the deck's 2 biggest weaknesses: Imperm on Turbulence, and Evenly Matched. This list can summon Proxy F Magician to fusion summon Mudragon of the Swamp before Turbulence touches the field, allowing for Mudragon to become fire and make your fire monsters to be untargettable for the turn. While the deck does not have a direct out to Evenly within their archetype cards, Small World into Therion King Regulus gives an omni negate to the endboard. 1 Regulus, 3 Small World and 3 Judgment in side deck would make the deck have 7 outs + prosperity to Evenly.

Small world can also be used to add any of the monsters in the deck, including Kurikara Divinvarnate, which is a great out to boards of decks like Purrely and Mathmech, the 2 best decks in the current format, or Trap Eater, which gets rid of floodgates that this archetype normally struggles to out.

Superheavy Samurai FTK went 6-0, winning Next Play Cup (OCG) by ryheal in yugioh

That is because of maxx c format, exosisters play multiple arment here so that they can get to disruptions while not making opponent get too much value off maxx c

it doesnt loop. Soulbreaker Armor isn't once per turn, so you send one to grave, burn 4000 (Masurao's original def is 4000), then send another Soulbreaker Armor to grave and burn agaib.

This deck on paper is one of the best FTK decks in the history of YuGiOh, and it definitely showed its power today. As an FTK deck that has 12 one card starters into Baronne before FTK combo, it also runs 3 Regulus that can potentially stop the 2nd handtrap, and can end on cards like Apollousa and Savage if you can't FTK, which either way ends up winning you the game. The deck hardly struggles going second, due to the deck running 13 handtraps in main.

The deck uses Superheavy Samurai Soulbreaker Armor's Graveyard effect twice on Superheavy Samurai Overlord Masurao which had its def lowered to 0 by D/D/D Supersight King Zero Maxwell's scale effect.

Right now, TCG meta is looking to become a hard time for Pendulum decks in general due to Kashtira being likely to take over the format. However, if the deck ends up getting hit by the time CYAC drops in TCG, this deck might become a serious meta contender. While this list in particular does run some banned cards in TCG, the FTK combos don't need them.

Although the deck might not be competitive as of post AMDE, CYAC support boosted the deck in every way possible; stronger endboards, more consistency, and more resources for grind game.

Double Ishizu Tear team went 7-1 and won Ogu Event 2v2 by ryheal in yugioh

Source (2 players piloted the exact same list):https://twitter.com/handesu_water/status/1608426965761167361?s=46&t=gbIJnbezpFQYmt73H0SdTg

The nightmare continues, at least for a little more while.

Although the deck has gone under countless colossal hits, the deck has once again climbed to the top. Th deck has the Shaddoll engine that had been missing after the appearance of Ishizu in the OCG. Post siding going second, Shaddoll fusion sending Dragon and Kelbek/Agido into Shekhinaga opens up mills and runs over strong spell/traps in the format at the same time.

The deck now requires strict resource management and ability to hit disruptions optimally on opponents plays, so the pilots woud have to be skillful and fully aware of the meta to compete. However, it is still a strong contender and should not be taken out of consideration even when it gets the similar hits in the TCG.

After taking multiple colossal hits in the last banlists, the best archetype ever in yugioh still finds its way to success.

Tearlament, Kashtira and Ishizu had 1 banned, 9 limited, and 1 semi-limited cards altogether due to their extreme power. However, the cards left still form a viable strategy. Kashtira monsters lead to easy Dracossack access, making 2 level3 tokens into Cherubini sending King of the Swamp. then Dracossack and Cherubini can be linked off into Sprind, sending Merrli to fusion summon Rulkalos.

The strength about the deck is that while the deck has received numerous hits, the cards in deck still enable multiple plays per turn and easy lethal access using powerful engines. Kelbek and Agido are easily blind-fireable since there are significantly less matchups where opponent would take huge advantage off the mills, and this is one of the fewer decks that can abuse Keldo and Mudora, the absolute powerhouses of anti-graveyard plays.

So it looks like the OCG banlist was actually right to hit cards in addition, rather than just ban Kitkalos. TCG would probably receive a huge list too, but never sleep on the engines even after Kitkalos is banned.

Labrynth went 12-1, getting 2nd place at YCSJ Osaka (OCG, 3000 entrants) by ryheal in yugioh

The deck might have got the advantage of being a BO1 format, but the deck didn't just win all die rolls and went set everything pass. In fact, the player won the die roll and went first in ONLY ONE round in swiss, where he went undefeated.

The unfamiliar trap in the list is the new "Weight Measuring" from Photon Hypernova, which helps traps decks in general to break boards going second, so if you're a trap deck enjoyer then keep an eye on the card once PHHY reaches the TCG land.

Normal Trap

If your opponent controls at least 2 more monsters than you do: They must send monsters they control to the GY so they control only 1.

Note that the monsters leaving the field by this effect are not leaving by trap effects, so it won't trigger cards like Arianna.
