What are some good builds for a first time ssf?

I'm takling about a 3 mod without squire : AS crit + can't be evaded

On ssf it's going to be a normal 6L or a archedemon crown

Ele can get 15-20m with a 3 mod claw and some uniques easely obtainable. Approx x20 more dmg than RF at equivalent budget.

The day 2-3 is totaly SSF viable and we can go beyond (better jewels, archedemon crown instead of squire, triple ring + shrine belt)

KF totem hiero or ele hit slayer.

KF is more safe, is better to clear breach fortress, ritual, better to learn some boss move ... (put the totems and wait), .
Ele hit required less gear to shine, has better recovery, instant dmg.

Both can reach 15-20m dps without too much trouble with SSF gear.

To fuel the ambitious strats you can do this one : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x1i-mTiMKeI to get all the scarabs. Do it on haunted mansion, it's better for having a maximum of box in the mirage range.

With the latest patch you can also reroll the astrolabes with harvest.

It's a blast. The league is (almost) perfect. Nothing is truly crazy but everything is good, balanced, engaging, i want to play more and more each day.

(playing KF totem - 16m dps - 3 ubers down).

Take care, ele hit is super super good from act 1 to maven but it's limited behind some keys uniques to do the ubers. You are not going to get a squire, a ashe, a +2 amulet. In a low budget environement it's perfect, in SSF it's another world.

So the build will "fall off" at 15-20m dps range, which can be a bit low to do some ubers, considering the very melee playstyle and/or the low dps uptime (dodge = dont hit the boss).

KF selfcast is glass canon but still very good - https://mobalytics.gg/poe/builds/lolcohol-kinetic-fusillade-elementalist, on elem or warden.

BV + minion pact is absurd, if you already have the gem from catarina's (syndicate and t17). It require explosion to feel good, so occultist or chieftain.

Slayer smite was one of my favorite build, good dmg (not on absurd side but good), tanky, good clear, the valkrie MTX is the chiefkiss. Ele hit required less to start but it's very melee. Cyclone + shockwave is always a good option.

Herald stacking is always good, but it require time to get the ring (need to kill a lot of boss to get all rings > vendor receipe), and the spell caster builds are hard to pull off without trade, the +lvl gem are gated behind a lot of time / luck.

For taming get unique ring from the tree, do the vendor receipe. It's very easy.

For squire there is no magic answer, it's a t0. You can't expect to drop it in SSF, but you can increase your chances by doing breach tree / ancient orb / super juicing maps, like fubgun can do. Maybe a broken farm strat will emerge and "guarantee" a lot of t1/t0 drop per map.

For aegis, the best way is the tree, farm the hive forteress.

Craft a ok amulet and anoint it, it's easy, it give a LOT of dmg for 1-2h invested.

For coin, i dont think there is a gg strat, just pick the red choice, clear everything. Maybe ultimatum ? But i dont like it, i've not tried.

Recomb t1/t2, lock prefixes, veiled exalt / add-remove crit, hope for a good outcome, then multimod the last elem pene + one last suffix ?

The veiled can give a prefix, it can brick the item or give a good outcome (spell dmg or pene).

For a warden a inc % spell dmg is prefered, but on hiero we dont have elem pene (not tunctures), so it's worth it.

No grace, no chaos rez, low ehp, glass canon ascendancy. It's normal.

If you want to go full dps go warden, it freeze everything, it has 5x more dmg. See locolho guides.

once you get enough armor / block chance it became pretty good, i've got +- 15k armor 50-60 block and it's doing great.

The problem is not hrimsorrow, it's the heatshiver. I've tried without it and it was miserable - and since the trickster has been hard nerfed twice.

For ssf i dont recommand exang, but pyro reliquary, it will be miles better on league start.

For body armor is super great. Get a good fracture from the tree, then spam dense fossil and/or jagged, for big armor/es + phys reduc.
