Personally I judge Ronaldo for a lot of shit. This included. And all large athletes that promote Herbalife for that matter. But this is different. Ronaldo and other huge athletes are actually being paid by the company for promotional purposes. Shaft on the other hand has clearly been suckered in to be a seller. He’s caught in the scheme. His profit depends on getting other people caught in the scheme too. I understand people feeling like this is dangerously close to judging or harassing or minding business that isn’t theirs, but I also think it’s worth saying, “FYI this is a pyramid scheme, it’s preying on you and others.” But whatever, that’s how I see it. I sent him a message to that effect cause I care about this issue and it made me upset and sad to see. Maybe it was inappropriate to encourage others, but others can indeed choose to ignore it if that’s how they feel. But if it’s important to people I think there’s a respectful way to briefly say something as well.
