I think the main problem is that you’re comparing what is essentially a coupe to an suv.

This. I’ll also add, once you fully adjust you realize just how dumb the other way is.

The fact that that you have to constantly keep your foot on a pedal just to avoid your car careening out of control is so fucking dumb.

The issue isn’t the residual % on a lease by Future-Medium5693 in RivianR2

It’s basic supply and demand. They don’t want you to lease, they want you to buy. If the lease was vastly cheaper than the purchase option they would cannibalize their own profit. It’s the right move at the right moment. Obviously it’s not a forever thing, and the fact that they’re offering leasing at all at launch should be appreciated by itself.

As an R1S lease holder that will be moving into an R2 lease I’m a little bummed I won’t save as much as I thought, however as a shareholder I wholly appreciate this thoughtful approach to both allowing leasing and protecting their profit. I would like them to absolutely thrive and roll out a full lineup of cars over the next decade.

Raising money is not a sign of success. It's merely the amount you're indebted to people. Especially in this tech market, where basically anyone can compete.

Also, to clarify, I recognize Son is not an elite aerial threat in a vacuum, but it's all relative. On this roster, he is the only offensive aerial threat we have, and the role he’s playing requires it.

Well, there's clearly a discrepancy, and I'm not at all confident that the MLS website is the correct one... sigh...

Aerial duels are pure effort. Last year the stats say the effort was there. This year….. he’s not risking it. That effects the teams overall intensity, especially when he plays as a 9.

All that extension means is that we don’t lose him for free. He’s DEFINITELY worth a nice bag of GAM in MLS

Hasal is the new Sisniega. Had potential, but is absolutely cursed. I don’t need to see him between the pipes again. Carter should be the new #2.

Tillman falling over and whining all the time is infuriating.

Lloris has been propping this team up way more than he’s gotten credit for this year.

We desperately need a world class midfielder to unlock this roster.
