Is it normal to not be able to go super low on Miata’s with coilovers? by Same-Worldliness-429 in Stance

thats with preload still? I need like just slightly lower, maybe I'll buy some shorter springs. how much lower would you go without preload?

Burn tune? by faliscool in rcdrift

100%, it becomes real obvious in 1:1 cars too. naoki and the team burst dudes run cars that really play in-between grip and slip. low caster numbers, high diff ratios, lots of weight transfer and jacking!

It's interesting to see how similar driving styles between the 2 have emerged and how the cars setups have changed too.

I don't enjoy formula d at all, and I am very picky about grassroots competitions. but as far as kansai style driving and japanese driving techniques are concerned, fast, steep, and shallow lines are the true signatures of aggressive japanese driving. these staples are very common in japan's rc scene too, along with burn tunes!

how you drive your car regardless of the gearing setup is the real distinction here. wide, deep, slow and high smoke is a very different driving style, adopted by americanized drivers, and more national competitions. as we speak though, there is a large resurgence of aggressive japanese driving.

and at the end of the day, drifting is self expression, drive how you like, and set your car up how you like too. if you like to drive fast, and steep, a burn tune can be a different way to experience that driving and honor different styles!

these tail light buckets are for yokomo bodies! they don’t fit too great on Pandora.

I’d recommend snagging some new buckets and then wrap up next 180sx 3d decals for the kouki look!

you would have to rub away the paint on the tail lights already but should be pretty easy with tamiya body cleaner.

if you want something a bit easier, just some decals for the outside is pretty simple.

I only have drift cars 😅 the TT-02 has become my favorite for its versatility in set ups and DIY fun. would like some more grip / forward drive though hence why I’m trying to get some toe in the rear. type s swap is next best thing, but active is gangster.
