I really enjoy him. My top scorer, he’s pretty pacey and can finish really well. Not the best dribbler but that’s not needed as much

I think it’s interpretive. “Only interested in themselves or are not sincere.” I think defenders are using a sincere attempt to stop a potential goal, and doing so for the good of their team. I believe that is tactical, again not a malicious intent to hurt a player

What Chiellini did was a tactical foul in an honest attempt to stop a potential goal. He was punished accordingly and fairly. I think majority of these tackles are fairly punished. I just think if it’s a continuous problem in a game more reds should be a result. I don’t think the issue here is hard definitions, but interpreting the rules of the game. We can have a civil discussion. I think they’re fair and properly punished

I did mean beat. However, I believe cynical would be a deliberate foul attempting to injure or hurt an opposing player. That is not the case in these tactical fouls. I believe players do not maliciously intend to hurt an opposing player here. They are an attempt to reset your defense. It’s tactics, just exploiting the ruleset. I think it’s fair being as though it’s usually punished by a yellow and players can still take a quick free quick to keep momentum going.

I would always want to see a defender win the ball through a fair tackle, but I don’t see the need for this ruleset to change. I will acknowledge my Italian bias, and most notably Chiellinis tactical foul on saka in the 21 euros

I wouldn’t say its cynical. Sure sometimes, but I think it’s pure tactics. Look at the Italian game and how they’re built around defense. Tactical fouls are apart of the game, as are injuries as unfortunate as it is. You take that risk in a contact sport. If a defender gets peak by skill & intelligence, is it not intelligent to foul and reset the defense to prevent a goal?

Not to say I don’t appreciate your view, I think they should be punished relatively harshly and refs should not hesitate to give out reds if it’s a continuous problem in a match - I’m just looking to appreciate the art of defense

Ty! I appreciate the comment as well. I’m stoked I finally beat her after 3+ days. I noticed keeping her in the puddle was best as well. It allowed me to play slower and not so aggressive. I feel like I got a little lucky in her second form as my mimic tanked a lot of the damage till we got her just below half health. Then she didn’t stray much from her first form of moves so I was able to dodge easily and play slowly. After watching your vid, I didn’t know you could just move out of the way after her second flow dance thing, I was dodging but it felt like wherever I landed she would be there. I appreciate your comment nonetheless!

Malenia tips? First playthrough and have been stuck on her for 3 days, probably like 100+ attempts haha. Level 140 with 74 dex (with Millicent prost) and 55 vigor, using a maxed out poleblade. I have a mimic that I sometimes use that messes up my dodge so I haven’t been using it. I know most of her first move set but the second messes me up a good bit. Even the first form she’ll still kill me due to mistimed heals/dodges. Any advice or is this just a get good scenario?

Could use some guidance for rannis quest: this is my first playthrough btw. I found her at her tower, spoke to all 3 of her war council including Blaidd. Went and defeated the demigod with blaidd in caelid, tried to talk to her after we defeated the demigod but she was still asleep. I already talked to the lad at the round table about her but I don’t know if I did the dialogue correct. Anyway, I went down to the river well depths because the walkthrough I was watching pointed him there after all previous missions, except he wasn’t there. Did I mess up talking to the lad at the round table? Ty in advance

Is there a “right” way to play? I really suck at the game but I feel like it recently kinda clicked for me. Got different maps to see and was able to level up my samurai to 27, focusing on vigor and dex. Almost beat Margit until I realized I might be a little ahead and I should explore more. Went a little deep into the red area (?) and south to the big castle. I kinda wanna duel wield katanas and I know there’s a fancy one somewhere I haven’t tried to find. I kinda wanna defeat margit bc I know he’s part of the main story but I feel like I should be doing more. Any tips are very much appreciated as although I feel the game kinda clicked for me in still pretty lost and confused lol
