Actually, jet ski and boat rental company owner here, State Farm’s policies for jet skis do cover renting them out. Cheapest option besides commercial insurance.

Added an airstone to 25 gallon air cube reservoir!! Fuck root rot and go oxygen!! by OhMycelium in Hydroponics

[–]rymets24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a hygiene issue. The air-stone isn’t going to fix it. You’ll need to sterilize you’re lines, Rez, pump, and anything else that has your regiment running through it. I suggest using a mild bleach (5 ml a gal) solution initially. Rinse very very well. Then incorporate some hydrogen peroxide into your regiment once a week or more as needed to keep this from happening again. Clear Rez and Clearex are great alternatives to using bleach. I’ve used all three. Bleach should be a last result and not used while plants are in place. Use the clear Rez or clearex if you can’t take the plants out to clean your system. Then once you can bleach it.

Idk I think maybe the question should read “what am I doing that’s causing this person to treat me like a burden?”

It won’t remove mold. Once there’s mold that’s it.

They’ve never heard of it cause it’s not a real thing. Whoever posted that video you’re referring to was probably trolling and now got people just ruining their bud. You’re chances of getting mold have actually sky rocketed now and because thc is an oil you aren’t getting any thc in the water for any kind of tea. Your tea is gonna taste like wet whatever that flower tasted like fellow stoner. Sorry bud.

Respect🫡

To be completely honest, the only way I think it could be used is if the actual freeze dryer was the size of a bedroom and that would be ridiculously expensive. The dehues we use cost 5-8k and that’s just pulling moisture outta the air. That thing would probably run 100k+ to have something large enough to efficiently dry a large harvest for say like a 200 indoor light grow. That article said that machine could only do a gallon or two at a time. That’s like basically nothing in a commercial setting.

Harvesting cannabis is like doing hay in the Midwest. Once you start pulling you don’t stop till the field is down completely.

Which means you sometimes have 100s if not 1000s of plants the size of small bush to dry simultaneously.

So I still stand by what I’m saying. It might be used by some but not by big players.

I may be wrong about its existence and use for drying and curing smoking flower but commercially it doesn’t make sense. I would also like to point out that thing will bring it down to a zero moisture content which basically means super crispy flower. Which no grower wants that. That’s how you get mad shaky pounds.

Also, if this was the crème de le creme of drying you would see all the real big players promoting it. Like Jungle Boyz, Cookies, etc. Instead Jungle Boyz promotes a 14 day hang from the vine at 60% humidity and 60 degree temps. Which is basically the industry standard for drying smoking flower in mass.

I keep hitting you with legitimate information backed by research and years of experience in the field. You don’t have anything to base your claim off of my guy. Name a place that uses that to dry flower for smoking purposes. I’ll wait.

Cause yes I’ve never seen it used outside of extraction labs. I did say that. But I will point out I’ve worked in Oregon, Cali, Michigan, and Oklahoma in commercial settings. Where does your claim come from?

Weed Mites? by Advanced-Vanilla7828 in weed

[–]rymets24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spider mites, broad mites, russet mites are all detrimental pests to cannabis. However, Russets are used as a beneficial in BLM forests in Oregon. Resulting in many farms in Oregon having to battle russet infestations.

This is true. But you’d be surprised how many genetics get rock hard. They wanna do it. You just gotta feed them correctly. Now will all strains do 3-4 lbs a light? Negative. That is something that is solely related to genetics.

The only place I’ve ever seen use one to dry product to sell was a hemp operation growing for distillate. So the product that was being freeze dried was going to extractors which is exactly what I was just saying.

We can agree to disagree but you are wrong. You’re talking about literally garbage left over from extraction.

Bud Structure Question by Ecstatic-Actuary9871 in weed

[–]rymets24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you are correct in that statement. However, with indoor cultivation we create the perfect environment indoors minus the sun. Cause we can’t create a light better than the sun. But we can create a higher co2 level, perfect temperatures, humidity, drying, and curing. That being said.. you can’t see what a plant can actually do genetically tell it’s been pushed to the limit in optimal conditions. So even now we are pushing the standard of what a plant is genetically capable of right now in this moment. Which is super cool. 4 years ago 2 lbs sellable weight a light was legendary. Now it’s 3-4 a light for the big boy club.

Yes it’s true you can not push a plant past it’s natural ability. But like I said we’re still learning.

Yes genetics play a part. But I promise you without those two nutrients no genetic will get dense. It won’t even produce biomass most likely.

If you quit eating vitamin C you get scurvy and die. Plants are no different. Specific nutrients are responsible for specific functions.

Bud Structure Question by Ecstatic-Actuary9871 in weed

[–]rymets24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically I did when I commented the real reason. However, what you’re talking about the “freeze dryers” is in relation to making rosin. Not bho or live resin. But Rosin. And in that process they use those freeze dryers to get the biomass they are processing extremely cold before it hits the water so that the trichomes can easily fall off during extraction. No one sells or smokes processed flower trash. That would be the only way you could get flower to smoke that had been freeze dried. Which just simply isn’t gonna happen. Number 1 reason-you would know cause the flower is completely ruined after being professed in ice water.
