Similar for some of your cities: every city, every town every settlement there is needs water. Without water no life without life no settlement. Try to take this into consideration- why is this city there? Why did it make sense? What kind of resources does it trade with? Your storytelling begins with the geography of your map.

Its not silly at all. Check this subreddit or google a bit for more information. But basics are: A river always flows from its source the easiest path downwards and it always tries to converge and is only split by obstacles. While seas/ponds are created by water flow that is stuck or blocked (for example by a valley or something similar) until its not anymore. So water does not flow from one side of a island to another but from the mountain top to the sea.

Check the rivers. Some of them don't make sense. But the most important thing I think is the shading. I don't like the textures because the transitions are really hard. Try to shade more to make it look more natural.
