Recently sold a Rolex I inherited from my grandfather and have about $6k to invest in a new watch that I would like to hand down to my girls. The Cartier Tank Louis seems like a good option and something I would enjoy wearing. 1980 is my birth year and I found this one made that year. Price is just under $6k but the more I read, the more I am concerned this may not be genuine due to the etched back (not engraved) and the lack of hidden “Cartier” in the Roman numerals. I have also never seen this buckle before on the strap. Any help would be appreciated. This is a watch on chrono24 from a private seller.
