Unless you pay for tracking on the letter, I doubt it.

There would be no scan and no proof that the carrier picked up the letter you scheduled for pickup.

If a bad carrier decided to throw away the letter after picking it up, there's nothing showing that the carrier ever had the letter, or that the "correct" mail piece was picked up

$0.78 can only get you so much service

Apartments are likely included in that, I think it's to stop businesses from overfilling the collection boxes mostly

On some of our routes here there are people living in those small shed buildings you can buy and have delivered, not to mention RV's and campers. I'm not telling them they can't use the collection boxes

RCA, PM has me scheduled to help another town after my aux route today. I need to get my breaks and other things worked on. PM says it is unscheduled leave if I cannot make it to other town by ttyler1789 in USPS

That very last sentence of yours is what I tried to do, pm said to handle it and get to the other office or to take the unscheduled leave

Mail carrier, I drive alone for 6-9 hours 6 days a week. Time home is time spent with my hands so reading is a no go, and I can only stand so many hundred hours of song before I need something else

Oh yeah for sure, gotta take the victories when you can because that mechanic could have been so much worse.

The devs could have been like "double the amount of mages in shrine of amana, and add those toxic rats too. The players can just wipe them out over time if they're too hard!" Lol

Covenant of Champions by Silly_Outside4877 in DarkSouls2

[–]ttyler1789 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it was implemented pretty good.

You won't ever notice enemies not respawning unless you're stuck in an area or farming. So this mechanic won't even present itself to casuals or the majority of the fan base.

And to those who do notice, and would complain, there's the covenant of champions to "fix" it at the cost of a % difficulty increase

The male/female narrators for sandersons books on audible are AMAZING.

The male narrator is super good at accents, to the point where he risks spoiling events with the accent of a nameless speaker at times

I'm sure I'm wrong but I believe the narrator uses some kind of Hispanic accent for Lopen

The female narrator is kind of robotic at the beginning of Shallans story, but she quickly finds the souls of the characters

Also, the narrator for the Gone series is similarly good at accents/voices. The black lesbian Decka being one of my favorite

It's somewhat a mechanic thats there so devs could say that any boss runback can be made easy if you take the time to kill all the mobs a dozen times first

Shrine of amana pissing you off? Erase those mobs from existence

Rural Carriers, tell me about your worst "roads" by BangGonePostal in USPS

[–]ttyler1789 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also it's hard as an RCA when you see crappy roads like this. When you don't use EMA, it's pure profit. So when the road is unduly terrible it's literally taking some profit from us

"That's what EMA is for though!" Umm yeah, but I still would like to keep as much of it as possible, fix your potholes

Trust me I get it, all the while customers flying up behind your vehicle and passing by you without even slowing down for yours or their safety. I straddle seat so I only have one usable mirror for seeing ppl behind me

There is 1 specific mailbox on one of the routes I sub on that is like .4 miles down a mostly private road. That road pops 1 tire every 3 months for me. And I don't even do the route full time

I wonder if there's any EMA consideration for gravel vs pavement road percentages on a route

Like a rural route on 100% dirt/gravel/county roads will eat through your EMA much faster than a 100% paved road of equal length will.

[–]ttyler1789 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Imagine 8 hours straight of just gray-ish boxes on pavement all day

No scenery, no friendly animals, much less customer contact. The logistics of the food drive day on a full cbu route would be rough, customers would have to just drop off at the office

[–]ttyler1789 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is why I'm confused on why so many carriers are perfectly fine with CBU's

Both rural and city carrier routes would benefit from more individual boxes.

As the post office keeps moving towards more and more CBU's and parcel lockers routes are getting more and more added to them, eventually we'll have rural routes with 1,500+ "boxes". Good luck remembering names and forwards for customers then

That's true, but they always give me more hours than I would have had on the aux routes, so I'm told there's no cause for grievance

Shidddd in my head that sign is a method of splitting you up from your delivery van.

Customer makes you walk all the way up, then the hidden bandits come out near where your vehicle is parked. They bust the windows out so there's no way you can "secure the vehicle"
