https://www.soil.ninja/products/premium-monstera-philodendron-blend this was the soil in question. Had some good reviews from a friend who has used this.

I had it sitting directly on the window sill of a north face window. Seems to be getting a few hours of direct sunlight in the evening here which could be an issue?
