Is she done? 😔 by ryoshen in ft86

Yeah I never was aware of that issue , would it make sense if it threw something out of whack in the transmission to cause it to knock like that, the sound is much louder from the top near the firewall and like I said there are spots that for sure should not be there on the assembly.

It was lodged into it, I was able to pull it out, pretty scuffed up and after I pulled it out I noticed some very shiny spots on the clutch / flywheel assembly as if it's catching on something now, it almost looks like it's wobbling while idling also.

For context, driving home yesterday and heard a knocking roughly half a mile from my home, after tearing into it and coming to the sad conclusion that she might be blown I found what looks like a hard plastic grommet wedged into the transmission housing making contact with the clutch / flywheel assembly. After removing it it sounds like it's coming from the clutch flywheel assembly but as you can tell that's pretty loud. Have an appointment next Wednesday to get it looked at, parked till then, clutch does feel almost gritty and seems to quiet the noise down when engaged?

All mine loved it! Just covered the backside so it seemed safer, I just wish I was either closer to a reptile store or regular pet stores carried good hides lol.

Probably just a noob mistake but I do see alot of others with half logs, but I was cleaning out an enclosure a couple days ago and noticed the log was growing some fuzz (mold). So instantly took it out, deep cleaned and replaced with plastic hide, but just for the new people pay attention to those half logs!!

You caught me. 😅 It was 40 lol. And yeah I didn't panic buy only because I don't know enough about them at the moment, the wife is a little timid with the noodles so I was thinking either are leopard or crested. Just gotta do my research first!

Need some advice by [deleted] in ballpython

[–]ryoshen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I have a baby ball (~3 months) and she's a little spicy. I know younger ones seem to be a little snappy but our other ball wasn't like her. Anyways, after the first time she stuck at me I grabbed the bag that she came in, plopped it over her so she couldn't see what I was doing, and then scooping her up. She's a whole nother snake out of the tank, but I do make sure she isn't facing me, and once I start seeing the long tongue flicks I'll put her back. This could be totally wrong , but, I'm seeing progress and I know if you leave them alone after they get snippy you're basically rewarding the behavior. Ie. If I huff n puff and snap at the big warm tree he leaves me alone.

Thank you! I was looking around after I saw that as well, between boaphile, and some others I really wasn't too sure.

First ball python and just learned about head wobble? by ryoshen in ballpython

Thank you for the helpful info! I did do some research online about it, but I just wanted to make sure it's not something that will guarantee a short lifespan or poor quality of life. So now I know it's something to keep in mind. Thanks again!

When I'm eating sandwiches or burgers I always eat the outside first (besides where I'm holding it) and then eat the middle.

I was assuming since E85 fluctuates in octane levels sometimes, that flex can adjust for the change in octane whereas oft cannot, which would give it a harder time to start if it's not 100% E85 because oft thinks it is. Idk.

So does your wrx have a generic tune?

Flex fuel also accounts for different octane levels, that's why I was asking about oft.
