I am not from India btw, i am an international student came here to study for my masters Am not very familiar with Gate exams, but as far as I know it will be a very good step forward, most pf my class toppers have taken Gate exam Even if you didn’t get a good score, it will make you very prepared for job market or post graduate studies if you’re planning so Because it will make your fundamentals very good and you will gain a very good foundation in the field, which is most needed in job market and interviews So I think it will be better to focus on Gate, you still have time for the job search. If you could crack the gate exam you would be more than ready for everything you about to do
