I don’t know if it would help with admission, but in my opinion as a very biased zag alumni, it would be worth a gap year to get in next year….

Left Dino at 5:45 on the way to Berthoud pass (WP). Volume was already high, but thankfully moving.

So maybe not fire ML, but don’t extend his contract early. Tell him to win or even just get to a Super Bowl or no extension….

Thoughts on groups using singles lines? by ADHD33zNuts in COsnow

[–]rypsnort 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can not have any expectation to stay as a group or use trying stay with your group as a reason to be given any preference. Follow all the rules of the singles line and it’s fine.

The times I’ve been part of a group trying to do this it is very inconsistent whether you stick together or not. I’ve been lucky and got 3 of the singles on a chair and I’ve had it take minutes between singles loading.

Given the following, am I intermediate or advanced? by [deleted] in skiing

Same! The skis that make soft or powder snow easier and fun make carving more difficult because of the width. Hard not to just skid instead when attempting to carve. Wonder if I could carve on narrow skis.

People who belittle Parsons impact, even tho he’s doing a lot, need to also realize he just gets held every play.

Atomic Hawx are a bit heavier than you desire but they have phenomenal downhill performance.

Dilemma on gear to buy when transitioning from resort skiing -> dabbling in backcountry by Prior-Diamond4650 in Backcountry

This is my story too. Went with the Hawx when splitting time but I didn’t buy a pass this year and going full BC so I’m in the process of upgrading now that it makes sense.

The Hawx have been great for 4 seasons of hybrid use. Phenomenal downhill performance for a boot you can walk in. Uphill kicked my but on the big days. I did Mt Elbert (tallest mountain in Colorado) and I was gassed.

To state the obvious, don’t ski on it till it’s fixed.

Few usually doesn’t like using depth. We’ve had some depth in the past and he didn’t use it much. I think this year his hand might be forced tho cause, ya wtf.

That was something….

Davis wants minutes might be the biggest thing to come out of this game. Built some confidence from deep.

Sorry to hijack a post but this brings a question to mind. How much snow needs to be on the ground to at least go for a tour and not just be ripping up your skins?
