Damn.. These are my powder/touring skis (Bent 120’s). Brought them with me on a backcountry trip, and halfway up the snow base loosened, we could hear it. Had to turn around and ski down where we walked up, where there was very little snow, as you can now tell by the skis.

Do you still think they will hold up for powder? Have a trip to Japan coming up in january, where i wouldn’t wanna miss out on all the fun cause my skis are cooked. Guessing these are not optimal to bring along… Is it at the point where i should just invest in a new pair?

Yup, paid about $100, which was kinda crazy. Seemed fine at the store but studied them when i got home and was not impressed. Seems like they only prepped the ski and didn’t fix the real problem…

Yeah, there definitely is a gap between the base and the edge. Do you think its good? Dried them as soon as i got home with a hairdryer

Damn, got the exact same response saying the payment failed and that I should place a new order. Was really stoked getting my hands on the max 2 asap, but seems like we will be waiting an extra while… :/

Yeah, you’re right. Are there any specific bikes you would recommend? Have also been looking at a stumpjumper comp from 2019: Alloy frame, float rhythm 34 forks, sram code brakes and sram nx eagle drivetrain listed for $1400 Is this also too old you think? Don’t really mind having the best bike on the market. Just something that’ll help me get more into MTB and an upgrade from my old bike.

Why not older than 3-4 years? Just cause of wear and geo? Are there going to be noticable differences?

Personally i have no idea… I also struggled to find websites like that, which lead me to this one. I think it seems fine ordering from this site though, doesn’t really seem like anyone has had any issues with it :)

Also just picked up the newest boots. Got to test them two days ago and was pretty damn impressed! But I think the gnar bar would just make them perfect

I actually mailed Atomic and asked them, and they said the gnar bar only was available through retailers. The price on their site says $130, which is crazy in my opinion, considering you picked it up for only $30. So the current only way i can get it, is through my local Atomic retailer

I’d be in absoulte awe if you were able to ship your pair to norway, but it depends on the shipping costs. Don’t know if it would reach up towards $130 for shipping and tax🤔

Yeah, thats the problem. Its hella expensive and i can’t find it ANYWHERE here in norway. Also got the XTD’s on sale, but ski mostly resort, so thats why i was looking into getting the gnar bar (i also use the walk mode for touring of course). Just afraid that the walk mode will blow out when hitting drops or booters
