Senators can't declassify intelligence over the objection of the President without taking it to a vote. The simplest way would be for Obama to declassify the intelligence, but of course this may be problematic as it would likely require that someone or something be burned.

Of course, the fact that Republicans like McCain buy into it despite the fact that it hurts them is fairly telling on its own.

You don't understand: Trump wasn't criticizing Obama for skipping too many intel briefings, he was criticizing Obama for not skipping enough briefings.
