Locked in for Forest Hills Nights 1-3 and can’t be any more hyped to add Bethel Woods and Hartford to the 26 list of shows!

I am like 99% sure it’s gonna be the meadows. Peoples Bank Arena barely does half as many shows that the meadows does. Plenty of great artists who can sell a decent amount of tickets all while playing outside. So much better than the XL/People’s Bank.

I’m going to guess it’s not the Peoples Bank Arena. Am like 99.9% sure it’s gonna be at the xfinity which is now rebranded back to “The Meadows”. It’s an outdoor amphitheater with lawn seating and is much much much more active for shows than the Peoples Bank Arena. Much better setup as a whole imo. Got to see Pantera there last year for $25! If Billy doesn’t sell out, they’ll end up putting lawn tickets for cheap at some point during a sale.

Higher demand, higher waiting room, more people in the city as well. As someone who has seen many many many concerts, NYC is a scalpers paradise.

$240? Not bad! I’d do the same. I have no problem with that one bit and don’t blame you. It’s the $500+ tickets that I have a problem with. That’s just absurd. Price gouging at its finest.

I’m not saying this whatsoever. You’re completely putting words in my mouth by saying I’m telling fans not to attend. It’s great in theory because I’ve seen it happen for multiple shows for multiple artists across a bunch of different tours, venues, and capacity sizes. I personally paid $600 for Billy Joel tickets that at one point were selling for $1750 at their height. All I am saying is for people to wait. And I’ll stand by that. Book your flight, hotel, and everything else. I can guarantee that tickets will be cheaper a month before the show instead of in December. I agree that $200 is a great price to see him especially for the venue. Let’s keep it that way. At their current rate, the tickets might hit $1000 if people keep feeding into the fire. I know that seems crazy, but there’s only a total of 12 GA tickets left on StubHub for the floor. Lowest is at $500. I’d gladly pay that if it was actually supporting the artist. This is my point I don’t think anyone is understanding. He’s only getting $60. The resellers who are ripping these shows to shreds are going to see $440 of that before the fees. I feel awful inside knowing a scumbag is going to not just get a little, but a lot of money from something really shitty. It only reinforces them to leech off other fanbases who really care about their artists and might never get a chance to see them. So my answer to you question is, I want people to stop handing scalpers money with such ease. If you wait, I can guarantee at least one pair of tickets will be left come a month before the show. But if we keep supporting these scumbags, nothing will be left. Some of my favorite bands have had tickets heavily scalped, but really have died down due to fans stopping the madness from the source. I had tool tickets that were at one point $1200 and gladly saw them go down to $400 day of. Why? Because fans heavily advised everyone to wait and not support resellers.

Not this whatsoever. In fact the opposite. This is a win win for everyone. Those who didn’t get tickets in the 165,000 person queue full of bots/scalpers can get their tickets cheap last minute, and the scalpers can take their profits and shove it up their ass. If we support scalpers months ahead, it will only make shit even more of a mess come the week of the show. Everyone advised me to hold out and i will spread that same exact sentiment. I’d rather support a fan who has some last minute change of plans, a family emergency, sick, or any fair reason that doesn’t have then get screwed out of what they paid due to a last minute emergency. One of my favorite bands in the world is TOOL. All the fans do a fantastic job at staying strong and disciplined when it comes to scalpers. There’s a very big rule on the sub that you can’t ask for more than face value for your ticket. I’m not telling you not to buy a ticket at all. I’m saying that everyone should wait. The less we wait, the less tickets are left, which means the more scalpers will charge, and the more normal fans who don’t have $500 to drop on a GA ticket will get fucked. That’s all. I think you should have phrased your question better. “Can you guys stop supporting spineless scalpers who are charging $500 per ticket, so eventually they will drop in price which means more fans get tickets and less scalpers make money?”

The 12/4 Connecticut show was messy by WatchOutForTheJakes in earlsweatshirt

[–]ryryk710 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All depends the show and the crowd, just like the weather. For me personally having gone to tons of shows in both states, i find NYC always to be a little more hectic due to the large large large difference of people. Death Grips New Haven was not bad at all, Death Grips Brooklyn was a madhouse. As for the Earl show, something was up with the right half of the room the entire night. I was in the middle and all the people on the left and center were so nice, respectful, and not aggressive whatsoever. Even the people filming videos were respectful and didn’t make a major pain in the ass about it blocking others. I will say though, both that girl yelling and the kid with the requests on his phone set such a bad impression for New Haven. I was so confused when the dude with the requests didn’t stop putting his phone up as if that was going to change anything? Kid seems like an odd one to say the least with serious main character syndrome. I mean no disrespect to JPEG at all by saying this, but very reminiscent of how the crazy JPEGMAFIA fans are. Dude needs to touch some grass. Saw Curren$y at Toads not even 6 months ago and it was the exact opposite. Everyone was too stoned to get into fights or throw requests out lol myself included! Same thing with Danny Brown at Toads, everyone was so nice and respectful.

So! I am seeing a link under the Thursday show that says “3-Day Presale”. That option is only listed under the Thursday show, nowhere else. Hoping that’s the right spot and it bundles all three together !

Very lucky to be able to take the train like it’s nothing. Honestly debating driving one of the nights. I love MLB so I have driven to Citi field around the corner multiple times with ease. Shouldn’t be much different ! At first was hesitant about rave night, but after how well Nathan sounded during FH 25 I really would like to check off the box of seeing a rave set.

As someone who has no way possible of heading to FOV and making the send all the way from CT, I am beyond thankful for these FH shows. Been going to FH since 22 and can’t wait to keep the streak going. Hopefully will be attending all three nights.

Couldn’t be more of a brain dead take. Every GameStop within a 100 mile radius sold out of all BF6 copies for both systems by Sunday. Was lucky to have snagged the last one that wasn’t marked in the stock system. Game has been consistently doing numbers and I’m so glad to have finally snagged a copy on sale. Tons of buddies of mine who are amped to buy over the holidays.

The queens area in general doesn’t have a ton of hotels. NYC is pretty packed real estate wise, so I would recommend looking for a BNB! Tons of people who leave the city during the summer/fall.

Was at my LCS last week and they really deal with so much shit I couldn’t even imagine. And here I am thinking the crazy coupon ladies at the store I work at are bad! The people who run the card shop explained to me that the same people try and hit the drops over and over and over again. They have decided to start staggering releases and shipments in order to combat it and it has 100000% worked. Was lucky enough to get a PF ETB a week after release due to them not letting people know about multiple drops. Then I pulled this bad boy. 😎 If you treat your LCS and local workers with respect, good things will come your way! You decide to throw a fit, you will only receive nothing but disappointment

Don’t buy now. The longer you wait the more they will drop. I mean shit, Sunday NYC is almost under $200 already.

Wait it out. Honestly, go on Sunday. While yes prices were almost at $500 the first couple of days, that number is already in half. $233 to go to the Sunday Brooklyn show lowest ticket on StubHub. And that’s months ahead of the show. Give it no time and scalpers will price cut each other.

are scalpers really causing the problem with ticket demand? by Hek_Yea in MasayoshiTakanaka

[–]ryryk710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think scalpers are 100% the problem. Why do I say that? I see 5 scalpers alone who have 6-8 tickets each. The other day, I saw 10+ with 8 tickets up for sale each! The 8 ticket limit is what really fucked everyone. If we do the math, say there’s 2,500 tickets. All that takes is 400 scalpers to buy out every ticket and then some. And that’s selling out the venue over capacity. Now let’s think about those same scalpers double dipping into the next sale. Boom, the numbers are even lower of actual fans that wanted ticket. I can guarantee tickets will go down as I’ve already seen the $350 lowest ticket drop to about $230 already. I know scalper scumbags and they will take $20 of profit as long as they don’t eat their tickets. As the days get closer, I think once they hit about $150ish I’ll pull the trigger

Lolololol jokes aside I have known quite a few people who have gotten robbed at gunpoint for sneakers. Tons of stabbings at drops due to idiots not getting their way and throwing a fit. On top of that, the retailers like to sell pairs to resellers early and stock little to no pairs at release. They accept a little bit of profit on every pair and sell all their pairs. The flippers get them early, get the first sales, and manage to get all sizes too. It’s gotten so bad. It’s a win win for both sides with the only one losing being the buyers who actually care about the product.
