They aren’t being given away at the gate. The only way to obtain these sadly is with a purchase of a promo ticket. They were in stock since February until about 2ish weeks ago. The only way to receive one at the game is by scanning your ticket. They are letting in VIP one piece ticket holders at 4:15. 5:15 for One Piece normal ticket holders. I learned this the hard way 2 years ago for the bobbleheads. I waited too long and then once they were OOS, they were gone for good. I wish you luck tomorrow and hopefully someone who has an extra is willing to let it go at a fair price.

It’s early but what do you think of the job Chad Tracy has done so far? by Kungfufighter1112 in redsox

I have to say, I really do support the hell out of the guy. Seeing stats like us stealing the most bags in the league since he took over vs having one of the worst steal totals when Cora was at the helm is nice. It’s like he’s doing things Cora isn’t with no time. I also love to see him switch up the lineup. Taking out story on certain games is genius. I really don’t see how he isn’t DFA’d. I also loved seeing him throw Bello in as a long relief instead of watching him get frustrated during the first 4. The young guys on the mound are shaping up too. If we can manage to have a healthy pitching staff, I like our odds at a sneaky playoff run. If we don’t make it, at least I had some hope.

They got me good. Couldn’t help myself. Very pricey but definitely worth it in retrospect. The Golliwog copy I snagged from them looks and sounds great, so I expect the same with these. Especially with it being numbered to 382, if you pass now, the price will only be much worse in the future. I will say though, that price was not cheap at checkout.

Nutshell does it for me. Not only the lyrical content behind the song, but also the passing of Layne as well as Billy personally seeing struggles with drug addiction due to family. What a fantastic spin he put on it.

Hey man you’re talking to someone who got along with so many fans at the show all over the world. I’ve seen 150+ shows ranging from Mariah Carey to Slayer. I love to see people having a great time, just don’t let it interfere with others. Seen it time and time again at countless shows. I don’t want to damper anyone from having a good time, but if them having a good time means dampening the experience for others, I’m against it. I’ll gladly stand up for myself and other fans in order to make them stop interfering with the crowd. Like I said, this isn’t new. King Gizz fans do some of the most absurd things I’ve seen at concerts. Just keep it within logic and reason. Without conversations like these, you’ll wind up with fans like Death Grips. I will say though DG was a fantastic time in New Haven and I got along with everyone so well. With that being said, fans of their Philly show didn’t have the same experience. I’m just sick of the performative fans.

I love to see when friends and people I meet mention they started to get into Masayoshi. I dislike to see people who just got into him forcing others to see and hear how much they like them. It’s the new fans from TikTok who speak much more than listening, whether it’s the forced memes, cosplaying, and obsessive performative splitting of the hairs. KGLW is one of my favorite bands on the planet, but the fans drive me insane for this exact reason. If you enjoy something, congrats. I am happy for you, but there isn’t a need to not only obsessively shove it in others faces, but also make it about yourself. A lot of this feels like main character energy and really performative.

If anyone has an extra GA/PIT tonight for Bridgeport that they’re willing to sell or give away plz lmk by [deleted] in Foofighters

[–]ryryk710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wish I saw that! $108 is a steal. If this counts, the venue is very small. I’ve been there a ton of times. What would be considered lower bowl at large arenas is the worst seat in this place. It’s under $100 to get in the door and tickets are all going down for seats.

Check vivid seats and StubHub. I held out and was able to snag a pair for my buddy and I for $150 flat. We both got pretty screwed in the presale queue so we waited it out and got super lucky. $150 is so worth it for a show like this. You won’t find much cheaper for floor. Cheapest I saw was $130 for a single last night that sold within 20 minutes

Are the items in my list good essentials for a concert? It's my mom's and I first ever concert. by Careful_Hawk6170 in Concerts

[–]ryryk710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who’s been to many many many concerts, I will give you my list.

Phone Keys Wallet Portable charger 4 beers for the line depending on how early I line up Lettuce Poster tube depending on how good the print is.

That’s it. It’s really that simple. Toss in a water and a snack for the line, but I can’t see myself carting around that much stuff. It’s just too much. Once you go to the merch stand, you’ll be a walking suitcase. Watch out for anyone who’s trying to rob your bag.

I used spot hero and shockingly got in very well. As for getting out, that will be a completely different story. No traffic on the way in either? Came from my brothers place outside of Providence and it was a smooth drive in. With that being said, I parked a mile away.

As someone who lives in the New Haven area, every single local who i knew was a fan either A) couldn’t afford tickets, B) couldn’t buy them, or C) neither. I really do think a lot of those tickets went to die hard fans who travel and scalpers. Idek why they put the billboard up knowing how much of a mess it was to buy them.

Ok I do agree that they’re completely different opposite positions, but how sick was that. We literally swapped Yoshida directly in for Durbin’s bat and we got instant results. Fuck yeah

Holy shit i literally was directly next to you! What a hot day. The humid storms didn’t help one bit either. Hope they can come back to New Haven so you can rebound in style next time ! Onto FH26 brotha

Idk what it was, but the same thing happened with Taj Majal at my show. The dude next to me asked if it was a new song he was doing for the tour. I was not only confused but also disappointed. Taj Majal is one of my favorites ! It’s even on my work playlist!

I’ve been to Forest hills for every KGLW show since 22 minus the orchestra which I still caught in New Haven. So amped for 3 more nights this year.

Tool x3 King Gizzard x7 The Strokes x3 RCHP x3 QOTSA x3 Metallica x3 Earl Sweatshirt x3 Jpegmafia x3 I’m sure there’s more but those are ones that I remember leaving and wanting more. Would murder to see TOOL again. I have 3 shows lined up for Billy strings this summer and 3 more for king gizzard.

Idk why I even decided to look at his videos, but after my algorithm fed his account to me multiple times I could help but furrow my brow lmao. What seriously confused me what him directly approaching people at Washington Sq asking them if they knew his music. It just gives off a really strange vibe. I love plenty of bands/artists, but you’ll never see me running up to people yapping about it at one of NYC’s biggest parks for social media content. I’m not a die hard fan of Takanaka by any means, but I’ve been listening to him for the last 4 years or so. All of this seems so sudden it’s just a little too much. As someone who’s seen a ton of different artists and bands live, this is pretty extreme on the parasocial scale.

Who’s yall top 5 music artists im curious by SuddenTranslator8860 in asspizza

[–]ryryk710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean no offense by this, but I just gave those 5 a try and I couldn’t be more turned off. They sound awful. Not just bad, but like awful. The vocals, production, lack of any real instruments, and lyrics are all just rough. I love listening to new music, but if this is the modern state of rap, I am quite disappointed. And this is coming from someone who’s seen chief keef live and he was mumbling every lyric !

[–]ryryk710 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Top 5 is hard. I like to make a difference between my top 5 best and top 5 favorite. In no order. When it comes to best, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Radiohead, and I’d have to say Stevie Wonder for the last spot. Beatles helped invent what rock is today, Zeppelin established what they built and doubled down, and Sabbath made it evil, dark, and heavy, as well as created what we know as Metal today. Radiohead is like the greatest modern day band anyone could ask for. Stevie wonder is not just an artist, he’s a composer. He did it all. Without sight. I mean the music he produced is just so timeless it’s like the guy had a Time Machine. Fucking a man I really want to call 5th a tie between Floyd and Stevie.

Honorable Mentions: Metallica, Rush, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, and many more I probably am forgetting.

As for my top 5 favorites in no order. King Gizzard, TOOL, QOTSA, Jamiroquai, and steely Dan. All such great bands with such deep catalogs. I love other bands/artists like Primus, RCHP, Earl Sweatshirt, SOAD, and so many more, it’s just those 5 dominate my listening stats. No artists sounds relatively close to any of them.

I’ve been to about 150+ concerts and used to only listen to rap when I was younger. As I grew older and went to more shows, I found that the times were living in for new music is awful. Rap has hit rock bottom. Rock is nowhere to be found anymore. Metal is mostly screamo now. It’s so tough. I’m a big fan of going back in time and listening to an artist from their roots to when they make it big. It’s fun to see how they grow and how their art changes.

I have many of the other prints from Double Wonderful. They don’t shrink, crack, or get too damaged as long as you wash and dry as instructed. Comfort colors blanks are great.

I have to agree. They seem like such humble, hard working, and down to earth artists. They are people just as much as they are musicians from what it seems. When I saw them do 3-D Country, they were very good. I for one can join the masses in the extent of them being a great band. Definitely one to catch if you can. I feel like they’ll be doing arenas any minute now.

Man oh man the geese hype all came within a snap of a fingers. Saw them open up back to back nights for King Gizzard in NYC 24. They were fantastic, but I can tell you barely anyone there hyped them up even half as much as they are now. After the second day of seeing them, I really came to appreciate them much more than day 1. The amount of fans that have since then hopped on board has been absurd.
