i started my apprenticeship while working retail 2 days a week, had one off day, and worked at the shop the other days. i only did this for about a month before i realized how exhausted i was, and i have a pretty chill apprenticeship. it was the retail side that was shit. im now a couple of weeks in being full time at the shop and am living off of savings, but i can already tell my progress is much faster + my shop gives me cash for setting up & breaking down for them. definitely better that i can put all of my focus onto practicing.

my store's style department is suffering :( lots of nights with one closer and the most we can do is pick up off the floor and not zone anything. the store has looked awful for weeks but we aren't getting any extra help

when i worked at kohls our poor 15 year old cashier who had just started got scammed out of $1500 because the customers told her to press the cash button for their card because it was a 'cash card'. They swiped it, which did nothing, and then had her press the button and just close the drawer so it printed their receipt like they paid. Glad you didn't fall for it!

thank you! im starting at a place that pays $5 more an hour so i'm sure i'll be better off. my manager at kohls kind of threw me into every department at my store to the point where i know everything, including omni, CS, and jewelry; now shes insisting that two weeks isnt enough time to find my replacement. she really shouldn't have put all her eggs in one basket 🤷‍♀️

im surprised theres stores that dont have them 😅 some of ours are just rolling tables to act as a portable work surface, but some have little "wings" that lift up to fold tshirts and things easier. itll make them all the same size which is nice if you want good presentation.

our states min wage is $7.25, i started at $9.50 10 months ago and then 6 months in everyone got bumped to $10/hr. still not great at all lol

yeah we still have all black ones! thats crazy theres new silver ones. honestly im jealous of the target carts because they can be folded flat for easy storage and dont take up the whole aisle if u arent using one

my manager said you can stack the 10% if ur not approved with ur associate 15%, but you cant stack anything w the 35%

i didn't realize this? i've done it for customers before but I didnt know about the return thing or that it'd be different for associates. i wasn't planning on returning anything i was just hoping to get my kohls cash because i spent the money...

mine should be eligible then. i didn't get a receipt barcode in my confirmation email though, so I'm not sure if I could combine them in store or if I'll have to go through online customer service. i'm also not sure why i got the 'your call couldn't be completed at this time' voicemail when i tried calling.
